- New Principal is still confused how to manage the college.

Remarks :
I approached this college as I liked the nature surroundings of it, little distant from traffic areas, flood areas. Bad aspects: Poor Water Supply Facilities, canteens are too compact, New Principal is unworthy of his power. For admission, as I have said previously, students those are residents of Assam with Income certificate under ?300000 per year family income can avail free admission. And those who don't meet the free admission criteria, has to pay admission fees of around ?7000 in the beginning. There use to be 3 merit lists for the admission process and application for it has to be done through national government portal "samarth". I didn't face any other group discussion, interviews or written tests for admission as I met the eligibility criteria.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I have chosen the course as there less students apply for it and also a unique course than regular cources. Qualification of the main faculty is upto PhD. Teaching method is quite good, humble. Three exams are conducted per semester, 2 sessionals as easy levels and 1 semester with tougher questions, if you don't study regularly.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
For the students those who are residents of Assam along with Income certificate under rs 300000, can avail free admission fees and have to pay rs 900 as promotion fees in 2nd semester. That rs 8010 is for those students from outside Assam or with no Income certificate.
Campus Life :
They held limited celebrations or festivals at the college. One is, Saraswati Puja, 2nd- College Week, 3rd- our college is achieving its diamond jublee celebration this year. Necessary books are available in the college library, also the professors have also contributed some. Indoor and outdoor games and sports are held each year during the college week. Indoor:- Chess, Badminton, Tennis, Chess, Gymnastics, Carrom Outdoor:- Cricket, Football, Tug Of War, Kabbadi, Running Race, Marathon, Cultural Rally Also some debate competitions are held too. Social group is run by students, DCSU (Digboi College Students' Union), elected newly each year with fair election.
Hostel Facilities :
I did not apply for hostel as I didn't attain required percentage for hostel seat in my Higher Secondary. But my friends say that they only had to pay a joining fees once as security fees, but is returned later. Average quality of food is provided, timed water facility, electricity facility, etc.

Good-moderate faculty but maintenance of every other thing is very much not on time The authority doesn’t seem to be concerned about the students and delays every work and at the last moment you will be running around .

Dream Campus, Not-So-Dream Jobs

There are teachers under which u can work and later they can surely help u land a intership, happened with one of my friend. But as of now department dont directly provide u internship. I dont wanna say vague or old numbers about average or highest placement data, so wont comment on it but overall its not that great but there are exceptions, like there are some brilliant minds who lands an enormous off campus placement.(My 2 seniors who r out of india right now) Last year Bharat electronics BHEL came and took 8 seniors for 13lpa package, some banking companies and TCs comes too. My life in B.Borooah College as a science student
Placement Experience :
Placements At B. Borooah College for a BSc Forget it. There's no placement scene like you hear about. No companies come for recruitment drives. The so-called placement cell just puts up notices for government job ads or maybe a local pharmacy needing a helper. I've never seen a single big name visit campus to hire BSc grads. So there's no list of recruiters, no number of offers, and definitely no talk of high packages. Zero students get placed from here in that way. The plan after the degree is everything. For me, it's going for an MSc. For others, it's preparing for government exams, doing B.Ed., or applying to labs and hospitals directly. This college gives you the valid degree, the ticket to sit for other exams or apply further. It doesn't get you a job. It makes you eligible to go find one yourself. Your future is 100% in your own hands after you walk out.

There are 100% internship in Bsc agriculture are also good the average packages 3 to 4 LPA the highest package is 12 LPA percentage of students getting placements are about 70 - 80% the eligibility criteria depends upon the performance of the student on its practical work and its CGPA

The ratio of placement and job is very poor, this is a college of general degree course, so after passing B.Sc., B.Sc. one does not get a job directly, in future one has to do Masters degree, PhD.But data from the last three/four year revealed that students did get jobs in SBI and some other organization, but the percentage was very low.That is why most of the students after completing normal graduation take admission in courses like Masters and BEd, Deled.And my plan in future is to do Masters from IIT or IISER, after that I want to do PhD.

I forever had a dream of starting a business by myself as I come from a business background I also wanted to help my father in his work , I wanted to grow my father's business by just putting technical efforts so this is the reason I chooses commerce Teachers are of very friendly nature and helpful If you attend regular college you won't face any difficulties in exams
Life as a BTech Student at IIT guwahati
Placement Experience :
there is a CPI criteria of around 6 to sit for placements. The highest packages for bachelors can go up to 1.5cr. Companies in coding include Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Ola, Uber, finance companies like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and many more. Highest paying companies are AlphaGrep, Quadeye, JaneStreet but that is very competitive with only people with the best results and from CS getting in. Many people also receive preplacement offers after internships. There are also many companies that visit for product management roles like Ola, Meesho etc. The placement process for Design students is separate. There are also core companies like Texas instruments, that visit.

I choose this course because I am interested in learning coding and I want to seek my future in this line. I am finding some difficulties in understanding the subjects and topics but I believe it is because I am new to this field and new to everything.
