Jamia Millia Islamia is a leading university in India with a rich cultutre, commendable faculty and top-notch lab faciities. When it comes to the course of BPT, it is ranked #2 by NIRF due to it's research opportunitites as well as experienced professors ready to guide you every step of the way. The fees is also pretty affordable for a professional course as compared to other universities. I personally learnt about this course in Jamia by a peer while filling out college applications. There was an MCQ-pattern entrance test based on the entire 11th and 12th grade syllabus (PCB). The difficulty level was moderate as far as Indian competitive exams go. You need to score at least 70-80% in the test to be selected which i know sounds daunting but is actually pretty is to score if you have a good grasp on your NCERT. 1-2 months of rigorous self study is enough to prepare for the exam.
Frankly, i was preparing for NEET inititally and only selected this course as a back up because i was'nt mentally prepared to give a second year to it, but now having chosen this degree and learning from so many renowned professors and seniors, I've realised physiotherapy is a great career option and a booming field in India. The research opportunities and even practicing roles are increasing and in the coming years will be in high demand. All our professors are PhD holders or MBBS/MD degree holders with a vast background in the field of education. The teaching methods are student-friendly. Teachers are all very helpful and approachable. There is no compromise with the quality of education whatsoever. Exams are held on an yearly basis with a continuous grading system throughout the year with assignments, projects, presentations, lab work etc. that is counted in internals+ External exams that are held around January. Most questions are asked from class lectures and PYQs.
Around 80-85% students got placement in hospitals with an average package of 6.5-7LPA. Major recruiters are Holy Family Hospital, Max hospital, St. Stephen's Hospital etc. There is also a running clinic in the department where students get good patient exposure before the internships and placements.
The total fee is bifurcated as follows: Tuition fee: 2200 Admission fee: 100 Library/ Lab fee: 300 Examination Fee: 1000 Library Caution Deposit: 500 Games Fee: 600 Lab Caution Money: 500 Other charges: 17075 TOTAL= 22275
There are'nt generally any lavish fests held in the university as such. Department wise competitions and programs are held regularly which, if the student is socially well-connected, will be notified about. There is an annual Foundation day celebration in November first week and a Physiotherapy week in September with lots of fun activities in Sports, Quizzes, Guest Lectures etc. The library is curated with all the study material one could ask for and more. Publications from renowned authors and computers with internet access are available. There is a huge "Pataudi Sports Complex" with a tennis court, badminton court, basketball court, football and cricket field, volleyball court and more. There are also various student run clubs at university level but due to the high aademic demands of the course, we ususally refrain from joining and focus more on stuff that would be beneficial career-wise.

I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
