- The faculty is very experienced as well as they are very skilled. The professors helps you when you need help or guidance and also help you when you score low. They show interest in your life and doesn't just brush you off. They not only teach but also guide you and help you become a better person and become ready for the life ahead of you
- The diversity in the university help you in making a lot of friends from different cultures as well as areas, this helps you grow more in yourself. I've made several kashmiri friends that helped me travel to Kashmir for a trip, provided me to stay at their home and treated me as a brother. The university location helps in discovering Delhi more as the university is in the middle of south delhi.
Dislikes
- The infrastructure is a little old fashioned. The departments look very shady from inside. The university lanes looks very dark as their are very less street lights present. The departments need little renovations and also for me I think it needs a colour change.
- Campus Life is very great here if you have friends but the campus itself doesn't provide any recreation as very less events happen in the campus. There are a lot of restrictions for events and also for guests invitations. So you have to run a lot to get permissions to organise any event.
Remarks :
The main factor for me joining this college is it's NIRF ranking as a university as well as an engineering college. The affordable fees was also an add on on the numerous perks of this university. Coming on the good aspects:- Fees is affordable A good crowd with skilled peers A diverse crowd as people from every part of the country comes here Culturally dense environment A lot of departmental competitions always happens. Plenty of societies to join Clubs for debates, singing, drama, reading, etc. are there A big sports complex with full ground for each sport Now, The Bad aspects:- University is a little small in terms of area Not a lot of events happen The teachers are a little bit conservative To come to Jamia you have to clear off the qualifying examination. I gave JEE mains and qualified to come here. Jamia has it's own counselling, so you have to apply here for admission after giving JEE. I prepared for JEE mains and got good enough rank to clear off the cutoff here.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose B.Tech because I love engineering. Jamia ranks 24th on all the engineering colleges in india. It has good placement and the professors here are very knowledgeable as well as experienced as most of them have done their PhD form IITs. Their teaching style is a hybrid of old school with integrating new equipments. The exams are very timely as the complete semester datesheet is provided before the semester starts. So the students can prepare for the examination beforehand and not get surprised by it. The exams are on a good level and are subjective.
Internships Opportunities :
I have done my internship in PICL(INDIA), Faridabad, Haryana. The company is a manufacturing firm that develops bldc as well as single phase induction motor for air conditioner, washing machine and air handling units. I had the role of inspecting motors as well as preparing official documentation for the motors developed their. I was the part of the company for 2 months.
Placement Experience :
Placements are pretty good here with more than 70 percent getting placed in engineering department every year. Eligibility criteria for the placement are always specified by the companies themselves, so it's not fixed. Maintaining good grades and a good aptitude knowledge will land you a placement for sure. I plan to go abroad for higher studies as I'm very interested in Mechanical field and want to study more.

Campus Life :
The social life is pretty good in Jamia Millia Islamia as you come across a lot of diverse people The previous year an event happened organised by the Kerala students named 'Muziris'. The event was very engaging as well as we got to try a lot of new dishes and got to know about their culture. Their are plenty of libraries as well as reading rooms here. The libraries mostly have all the books & journals that you need. Interdepartmental sports competitions are done yearly where everyone can participate. The grounds are full size and are very maintained. I've been the part of SAE society as well as IEEE society, they're both tech societies. Their are plenty of societies present here as well as different clubs here to develop different skills. Students have made a website named cricheroes that shows football and cricket scores of various competitions.
Hostel Facilities :
Yes, I have opted for a hostel here. I've got the hostel and currently living in the hostel. The hostel is very good and spacious with common rooms accomodated with telivision. Reading room is also present for students to study. The menu is very good with accommodation for veg as well as non veg preferring students. The quality is good and improvements are done as soon as complaints are made. Hostel is very affordable, but registration for the hostel is a hassle as you have to gather a lot of documents.

I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Doing masters in political science from Daulat Ram college
Placement Experience :
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.

The placement cell is quite active. There are always placement and internship fairs every year and even other college students can join them. The placement recruiters are from top companies like Deloitte, KPMG, EY, etc. Although, not every one gets in these companies but then, there are other companies as well like Finshots, Voice Your Vichaar, etc. The average package is 3LPA and highest package is 8LPA.
