Dyal Singh College (Morning) encapsulates an amazing Chemistry Faculty, with helpful professors who guide you through every step of your academic life. I contacted a few seniors from my school who were studying at that college and got to know about the teaching levels at DSC and finally decided to go for it. Additionally, the majority of my decision was driven by the DU cutoffs and thus, I took the best college that I could based on my 12th percentile. The students are not required to appear for any Group Discussions or Interviews to be admitted to the course, but they are required to appear for the CUET UG exam.
I chose this course because of my love for the subject and the hope of pursuing higher studies in the same subject. This course helped me to set a base of clear concepts in the subject and develop an interest in several topics like Electrochemistry, Nanoparticles, and Polymers. The faculty is highly qualified and most of the professors have obtained their PhD degrees from reputed universities of both India and abroad. The teaching method depends mainly on the professor, but even if you have doubts, they can be easily cleared by directly approaching the professor.
No, I have not opted for any internship as the opportunities available are very low. However, you can talk to professors and get recruited for an internship project under them where you mainly have to assist the PhD students in their work. These type of internships do not come with a stipend generally, and only a certificate of completion or a letter of recommendation can be provided to you from the professor in exchange for your work.
There are no placement opportunities available for B.Sc. students. However, you can easily apply for off-campus placements through the alumni network and LinkedIn. Job profiles that are mainly available are Subject Matter Experts, Chemistry Content Creators, and Tutors for different edu-tech companies. The packages offered range between 2.5 to 4lpa. As the placements are not satisfactory, I plan to pursue a Master's degree, followed by a PhD in the subject from abroad.
The fee is to be paid on a yearly basis and the amount is approximately around INR 15,500. This amount includes all the charges like Tuition Fees, Caution Fees, Lab Charges, and Admission Fees. The total fee for the complete course is around INR 50,000 for a duration of 3 years. The SC/ST/OBC students can have some relaxations in their fee amount and have to pay less than the General Category students. There are a few scholarships available for General, SC, ST, and OBC students to benefit from, like DU Merit, DU EWS, and DU SC/ST/OBC Scholarships.
The campus is vibrant and has one of the biggest campus areas among all the colleges of Delhi University. The annual fest of Dyal Singh College is Priyadarshani which takes place with a bang and amusement in the month of March. The library is complete with multiple copies of all the books that you would need for the course. Additionally, newspapers and monthly magazines are also available. Sports and extracurriculars are as prominent as academics in DSC. With a huge football, basketball, cricket, and NCC ground, there is enough space and prominent facilities available if you love sports. The NCC of DSC is one of the best in DU. There are several clubs and societies based on different interests like JAMINI (Fine Arts Society), ROOTS (Classical Music Society), and SPILLED INK (Creative Writing Society).
There is no hostel facility at Dyal Singh College, so if you need accommodation, you have to either rent a flat or take a PG. Both of these are available in nearby areas like South Extension Part-1 and Part-2.
Placement at PGDAV college are average students who have good communication skills internships and extra certification usually gets better opportunities the placement cell is active and organise placement drives , workshops , resume building session and career building guidance student should not have any active backlog

The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.
I am as of in starting of 3rd year. The internship options are quiet really well. They give you many companies to apply in. .
I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
