A life at SCMS PUNE!
Remarks :
As for the factors that made me choose this college was the affordability, the environment, the people, the exposure and many more things also cherry on top it is in the heart of the pune city which makes everything pretty much accessible. Also it has a pretty good brand value to it. Firstly I had to submit online form for eligibility etc, then a written test called SET exam and thrn the PI which is personal interview. The cutoff was pretty high but it was easy to crack too. Personally it was easy for me. Yearly 300 students are selected for a batch, out of which 50 is for the international students therefore in india 250 students are selected. Campus is not as big enough but they still pull off every possible event and it does really provide us holistic development along with lots of exposure.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I personally really enjoy their teaching method and it really focuses on practical knowledge rather than just books and lectures, we are given real life projects to be completed in 1 month. Thankfully it is a "college" college and not a school where teachers rule the college. Most of them are visiting faculty and students still manage to maintain the decorum and pull off all the events on their own. Talking about the education of the teaching faculty, it's pretty good, few teachers are highly qualified and provide us real life values. Gratefully we are not really thought through books but with live example lectures and ppts to prevent cramming and promote understanding of the concept amongst the students.
Internships Opportunities :
A lot of internships are offered like hr, marketing, sales, finance and many more with time periods like 2-4 months and they offer stipend of 3000-5000 fixed or more sometimes. They do come very often in a month and starts from the 1st semester itself
Placement Experience :
Our college is very good in terms of giving placement and internships as they start from 1st semester itself, and are provided multiple times, average is 5000per month. As for the placement average is almost 8lakh but this year it started from almost 16lakhs
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
1st Semester fee is 212000rs and 2nd semester fee is 192000rs, its does provide quite a few quota for scholarship like, sports quota, education quota, caste quota, any many more. It's hostel fee is 269000 per year for 2 sharing girls hostel, there are 3 girls hostel and 1 boys hostel. As for the registration fee, it was around 2000-2250 something.
Campus Life :
One of thr main reasons I joined this college was because of its exposure to the student bodies, there are almost 30-40 student bodies that actively work with more divisions to it and 10 clubs with 5 performing and 5 non performing as it supports cultural artistic aspects too. There is literally everything for everyone, no hobby is compromised
Hostel Facilities :
There are 3 girls hostel I chose the on nearest to the campus, it's fee is 269000, it's 2 sharing and quite decent actually, spacious, cleaned everyday, maintenance is free, the quality of food is pretty good. We are given food 4 times a day, breakfast, lunch, snacks, dinner. Vegetarian food is available everytime and non-veg is given 3-4 times per week.

Placement Offers were Good on Records till now Collage has its own Placement Department. The Placement Department is operated by professionals. It aims at providing placement to students in reputed companies with handsome packages around 80% placement was done in our batch. All the students got chance to prove themselves in campus placements. Companies like Amazon, TCS, IBM, Make my trip, Amazon, flipkart, Infosys, HDFC, ICICI etc. visit the campus offers an average package ranges 3 - 4.5 LPA going on to Highest was 28 - 45 LPA Companies conduct interview sessions, GD, test for selection of students.
The Time I Had Spent in my College

Placement was Good as there is a placement cell in the college that looks on managing placement for students by inviting Companies from different sectors Companies like Amazon Deloitte, Accenture, Reliance, HCL, Hyundai, HDFC bank, YES Bank, Axis bank etc. These companies make a number of offers to students offers an average package ranges 3 LPA and highest was 28 - 32 LPA. Companies conduct interview sessions, practical test, GD for selection of students and students needs to qualify all rounds to get selected also Internship opportunities was provided by college to give students practical experience and to give knowledge. Internship was also provided by college to give students practical experience and knowledge about current changing environment.

i chose computer engineering because i was interested in the technical field and wanted to build my career in engineering. the faculty were qualified and helpful, and their teaching was a mix of thoery ,ppts and practical. term exams were conducted on time and the difficulty was moderate

Placement Experience :
Placement opportunities are not so widely discussed by our faculty. My plan after the program is to appear for ugc net exam and to become an assistant professor. The minimum salary for assistance professor post is approx 35000.

The placements & job opportunities in the campus placements is good in our college like honestly it is good and also it is reason for students to take admission because there are many company coming to college. The average package is around i will say is 4.5lpa of all branches and here ENTC and MECHANICAL branch have more than 96% placement rate The highest package is of 22lpa which was from CS. The ground reality the percentage of students placed from this college is around 70% like the core branches students have higher placement rates and technincal branches placement rate is of around 70%-80% the core branches students also gets placed in tech. The main recruiters are TCS,ESDS,WIPRO,TECH MAHINDRA,INFOSYS,L&T and more. NVIDIA was also there but last year they banned the college because some students cheated in online interview.
An industry focused learning experience

I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
Reality of niat
Placement Experience :
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.

The number of companies coming for campus placements go down with each passing year. The companies that do come (TresVista mostly) are quite poor in terms of work ethic and payout methods. This year, around 40-45 students from the graduating batch got campus placement out of the 110-120 that applied.

Psychology as a field is highly recognized and growing sector after the lockdown,people are more focused on mental health,thus bhavans was the best option as they have Psychology department set for almost 20years which makes them more experienced. The teaching method of Dr.kranti Gawali the hod is excellent.
