Its one of the top colleges in india for bba. U hav to give the SET exam if ur an resident of India, followed by a PI round and NRI candidates have to submit their 12th std scores or projected scores. To prepare revision of earlier classes till 12th is more than enough but u can also join classes or crash courses(they help for PI round). Knowing current affairs and GK is very important. Scms has a lot of opportunities for soft skill growth and experience that will help in future. There are a lot of events which give u a fulfilling college life.
The teachers are very sweet and always help. You hav a loy of assignments and activities along with 2 internal exams ( marks of the best performed exam are counted as it is best of two) and also an external exam at the term end for higher credit courses.
No haven’t yet. There is a separate intership cell in the college to help students get and aware them about internships and other opportunities. They mail and keep us in a constant loop of information.
Good package. 6 is average and 98% placement rate. There are many national and international companies which come for placements. Most people pursue MBA after their BBA degree. There is a placement cell and internship cell to further help the students.
College fees, mess fees, hostel fees, health care fees can be a little expensive to pay but I think it’s worth it as it will be a great experience and investment. NRI students have to pay in dollars.
This is the best part about symbiosis. College life is very fun and full of learning. There are clubs for every possible passion from singing to dancing to photography to drama to marketing etc etc. Scms also has international clubs/ organisations like tedx and enactus. The fest ( sympulse) happens in the dec-feb usually. Sympulse has a lot of committees too for more college experiences. Sports also plays an important part in our college life with teams going for SIU matches often.
Hostel is good and has a washroom in every room. There are 3 girls hostels and 1 boys hostel. Boys hostel is 3 sharing and girls is 2 and 3 sharing. Mess food is good too. We have 4 meals a day being breakfast, lunch, evening snack and dinner.
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
