- It has everything, Library, Canteen, Open spaces, ventilated classrooms, projectors, sports ground, auditorium, amphitheatre. The clubs conduct their own events apart from College fests such as Prom, Homecoming, Debates, festival celebrations, Teachers' Day, Hindi Divas, etc.
- Apart from campus life, Pune is an amazing place to be at especially as a student because there are several other colleges in the area so you're surrounded by your type of people, the cafes, restaurants and other places are open for all students with special events and discounts so you feel valued. Everything is available at your convenience and you don't get homesick there.
Dislikes
- It is sometimes difficult to manage your time given the studies, assignments, projects, extra curricular but it is important to learn how to prioritise and manage your time and energy for different activities.
- There is a lot of competition especially because everyone is so talented and skilled that you may feel behind or like you're losing out on so much but trust me, if you are dedicated and passionate about your life and career, you get to have a wholesome experience in this college, giving you everything to learn and grow.
Remarks :
Symbiosis has a good global presence and recognition, brand value and diverse options for academics, and extracurriculars to choose from. Although it has a competitive environment in every aspect, it prepares you well for the corporate experience. One should be careful before forming aliases or friend groups, it is easy to get influenced but if you are determined and focused about your future, you'll flourish. The admission process has 3 steps: 1. Aptitude Test- Quants, GK, English, DI-LR 2. Essay Writing- Opt between 2 topics ranging from basic such as Work from home benefits or Deadline importance to Psychology, Art, Critical Thinking. 3. Personal Interview- A fun interactive interview with one faculty and one outsider looking for people with passion and dedication, as well as who will be actively participating in college fests and extracurricular. Prove your value to the college and enthusiasm to join the college.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course because I wish to pursue a CFA and having a BBA as my base, especially from Symbiosis University gives me an advantage. I opted for Finance&Accounting and Marketing Management as my specialisations which Symbiosis offers unlike other universities, similar to an international curriculum. The faculty did cover topics and practical fields which I could relate to during my internship. Exams were professionally conducted and enough time was given for preparation with a competitive but manageable difficulty level. There were no changes in costs and fees, the books could easily be issued from the library and there was a variety for every need from college exams, research papers, MBA entrance exams and even CFA. There are scholarships available for International Students-they have to write essays. (procedure can be directly asked from the respective department. Financial Assistance is also available depending on the category.
Internships Opportunities :
I did not opt for any internship from college but I do regret not applying. Symbiosis has a dedicated department to provide internships to students to get them more practical knowledge and connections before moving forward. Zomato, BVUR Innovations and many others have conducted internship drives. Roles. such as Growth intern, Sales, Management Trainee, etc. Not all internships are paid but they do give a good addition to your CV.
Placement Experience :
Placements are conducted during your final year of college for which the placement department conducts preparation tips and guidelines. To get a good placement, you are required to maintain a minimum of 6.5 average CGPA. Some of the reputed big companies are KPMG, PWC, Deloitte, Barclays, EY, TresVista, GoMo, Zomato, Swiggy, OYO, and various others. The highest package has been 10 LPA and the minimum is 4 LPA. 95% of the students get placed at good companies. I am preparing for CFA and CAT as I wish to complete all my studies before going into the corporate world and being well prepared and competent to fulfil my aims.
Campus Life :
College Life at Symbiosis is something different. You get to experience those American movie-like college life with some of the most amazing and talented people. Sympulse-SCMS fest is conducted in Jan-Feb. We have had some amazing events, competitions and shows with famous personalities such as Amir Khan, Malaika Arora, and Salman Khan attending our events. SCMS has 6 floors with one floor dedicated to the library, study area and balcony, has an auditorium, amphitheatre, Juice Centre, Xerox shop, Gym, Medical facility, Canteen and a shop for stationery, snacks, and your needs. Everyone is invited to join and participate in extracurriculars such as Dance, Singing, Photography, Social Work, Marketing, Entrepreneurship etc., all are student-led. Students go for outstation fests such as MUNs, and sports. Companies conduct interview sessions, practical test, GD for selection of students and students needs to qualify all rounds to get selected also Internship opportunities was provided by college to give students practical experience and to give knowledge. i chose computer engineering because i was interested in the technical field and wanted to build my career in engineering. the faculty were qualified and helpful, and their teaching was a mix of thoery ,ppts and practical. term exams were conducted on time and the difficulty was moderate

Placement opportunities are not so widely discussed by our faculty. My plan after the program is to appear for ugc net exam and to become an assistant professor. The minimum salary for assistance professor post is approx 35000.

The placements & job opportunities in the campus placements is good in our college like honestly it is good and also it is reason for students to take admission because there are many company coming to college. The average package is around i will say is 4.5lpa of all branches and here ENTC and MECHANICAL branch have more than 96% placement rate The highest package is of 22lpa which was from CS. The ground reality the percentage of students placed from this college is around 70% like the core branches students have higher placement rates and technincal branches placement rate is of around 70%-80% the core branches students also gets placed in tech. The main recruiters are TCS,ESDS,WIPRO,TECH MAHINDRA,INFOSYS,L&T and more. NVIDIA was also there but last year they banned the college because some students cheated in online interview.

I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
Reality of niat

no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.

The number of companies coming for campus placements go down with each passing year. The companies that do come (TresVista mostly) are quite poor in terms of work ethic and payout methods. This year, around 40-45 students from the graduating batch got campus placement out of the 110-120 that applied.

Psychology as a field is highly recognized and growing sector after the lockdown,people are more focused on mental health,thus bhavans was the best option as they have Psychology department set for almost 20years which makes them more experienced.
