- Beach is very best place to chill and it is only 300 m distance from college, we have a separate road to Beach inside from college.
- Very good clubs and competing with other colleges Like Robocon and Inter NIT competitions.
Dislikes
- Weather is too hot and lot of humidity you can't even expect 25 ° C in peak winter season.
- Administration and staff is bit less responsible and lot of work is pending.
Remarks :
Good placement and internships, no communication barrier, good food and sports facilities All clubs and events are very good One of the top 2 NIT colleges below NIT Trichy Admission process through JEE mains exam and for general candidate you should get above 97%ile and for Home state students it's 95%ile to get into Mining engineering department. For Computer science or IT it's around 500-2k rank.
Course Curriculum Overview :
It has a good record and one of the oldest engineering college established in 1960. All professor are well educated and holds PhD in particular field from various IITs and we'll known colleges. My course is civil engineering and it is very good and well constructed laboratories and good research facilities.
Internships Opportunities :
There will be campus internship facilities but that is slightly bend to only non-core ( IT) people but yes core people also get internship, if not they can get off campus or other research internship at various IITs and IISc Bengaluru. Apart from this I have applied for sure internship at IIT Hyderabad in particular area which I have interest. For campus internships the stipend it around 50k-2 lakhs per month There will be 2 mini projects and a Major Project for students during their 5, 6, 7 and 8th semester.
Placement Experience :
Basically most of the companies wants at least 7+Cgpa cut off to write online assessment but some of them also open for 6.5 which we have to give from lecture halls(No cheating) Big companies like Google, Microsoft, Oracle, Deloitte, Accenture, Amazon and many more core companies like TATA, RIL, BPCL,MRPL, Caterpillar. Highest is 66 LPA given by DE Shaw and average is around 20 lpa The lowest is around 6 Lpa Percentage is 80% last year due to recession but past 10 Yeats it's above 90% Civil placements are too low of 65% because of Civil services aspirants opting for UPSC, SSC and engineering services. Some of the tech companies also open for core departments. Profiles for Cs/IT people are SDE and Application engineer For Core people if GET or Analyst role will be offered.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
For General candidates it is 62k per semester and for others SC and ST students it is exempted, they should only pay Hostel fee of 38k if they are availing campus facilities. If you are a general candidate and having family income less than 8 lakhs, tuition fee will be exempted.
Campus Life :
We have two festivals, INCIDENT cultural fest which is Indias 2nd largest and south Indias top festival which organized by students in March end ENGINEER is technical fest which is also very good and more of the tech decoration. And new tech innovative ideas generates every year. Other than these two, more club festivals like UDAAN (Beach festival), E summit and many more Sports events like freshers cup, collessium Film shows by film club and Panache dance competition between department and Barath Darshan between states of India.
Hostel Facilities :
Food is very good compared to other colleges. We have 7 Hostels, 3 Mega Towers and 2 and 2 PG towers For girls also so many hostels Every hostel has a common room with television and indoor games facilities and a table tennis facilities. Bus facility is there for every 1h

For our degree program we have well placement opportunities other than bsc agriculture and btech biotechnology. For our college only company will come like itc,shula wine, Nestle etc and they offer good package minimum around 4lakh and some have aptitude test and interview some direct interview

There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students

The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.

Faculties are well qualified and some of them are doing active research. However the college does not have a very active research environment but they do not hinder a student from taking up projects outside. They provide all support like recommendations, attendance permissions etc.

All the faculties are well qualified and quite renowned in their research fields. However some of them have this quality of holding personal grudge and targeting. Some assume you know a lot and don't teach properly and expect more from the student. There is a lot of pressure even with internals, assignments and other things.

For placement, The student shouldnt have any backlogs. There are companies that are stated as "Great Places to Work" as well as some startups that come for college recruitment. The highest package last year (2023) was 6000000, and the average package of the university is approximately 850000. A good percentage of people who opt for placements do get placed decntly. My plans after my BBA are writing GMAT and going for my MBA abroad in a good college.
