Remarks :
I talked to my seniors before choosing this college & the reasons they gave me for this college were very apt. Firstly, the infrastructure is great. Be it the library, playground, gym, canteen, classrooms, everything is up to date. The teachers are very serious about the academics and you will find them taking extra efforts to teach. Online classes are also conducted in a very structured manner. The crowd is mostly from North India and friendly too. However the attendance rules are quite strict. You will have to sign bond incase the attendance doesn't cross the minimum benchmark. For admission, my class 12 marks were considered.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course teaches you about finance. You can get good start in this field if you choose this course. I chose this course because I wanted to pursue in this field only. Teachers are PHDs and very knowledgeable. Teaching method varies from teacher to teacher. Some teachers use the traditional book teaching and some use interactive PPTs. Term exams used to happen twice in a year after every 6 months. The difficulty level was moderate and tough.
Internships Opportunities :
I was preparing for professional exams. Thus I didn't sit for internships. As per my knowledge, companies such as HDFC Bank, Sharekhan, Ferns & Petals came during the internship fair. The average stipend was 5000 per month and average duration was 3 months.
Placement Experience :
There is a placement cell which is very active. The placements start in the second year itself. Many good companies come and the pay is also good at the freshers level. The eligibility criteria is that there should be no backlogs and minimum 6CGPA should be maintained. Average package is 5LPA. Approx 80% students get placed every year. The college also organises an Internship fair which brings a lot of internship opportunities in the first and second year of college. The average stipend is 5000 per month. I'm also placed as an Analyst at a finance firm through on campus placement. Overall, the placement process is well organised.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
First year's fee was Rs 27000. Second & Third year's was Rs28500 The fees is not increasing at a high rate. I feel this kind of fees for such a great college, is very economical. Though the fees is on the higher side if we compare with the other DU colleges. Also, the fees varies from course to course.
Campus Life :
This year fest was conducted in the month of March. Maninder Bhutter was the star of the night. Library has a lot of books including the non academic novels, magazines, and a lot of journals. Classrooms have projecters, ACs and good lighting. The college has a lot of societies for extracurricular activities. Everyday you will witness an event of some society. You can take part in these as participants or even organise them if you're a part of that society.
Hostel Facilities :
The college has only girls' hostel. I have heard it is a bit expensive and food is also not that great in the mess. I opted for a PG which was 2km away from the college near Power House, Pitampura. The rent was 12000 per month.

The internship opportunities are mainly available for the commerce departments and many companies also come to offer internships here. For humanities departments to internships comes mainly from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and home ministry.

The placement cell is active. Companies like Agile Capital Services, Chegg, and Wipro visit. Eligibility requires 60%+ marks. Highest CTC offered is around 8 LPA and Average package is 4.5 LPA. Around 40-50% students get placed, while science graduates prefer higher studies (M.Sc / B.Ed). My plan is pursuing higher education and managing my student e-portfolio platform.

Placement at PGDAV college are average students who have good communication skills internships and extra certification usually gets better opportunities the placement cell is active and organise placement drives , workshops , resume building session and career building guidance student should not have any active backlog

PLACEMENT FOR BBA ARE AVERAGE WITH COMPANIES OFFERING ROLE IN SALES, MAREKTING, HR AND OPERATION. AVERAGE PACKAGE IS AROUND 3 TO 4 LAKH PER YEAR MANY STUDENTS ALSO PURSUE HIGHER STUDIES LIKE MBA TO IMPROVE THEIR CARRER OPPORTUNITIES.

The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.

Doing masters in political science from Daulat Ram college
Placement Experience :
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
Maitreyi college is so underrated

The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
