Likes
- Best thing about our college is that the people are very friendly. Unlike other colleges there is competition but healthy competition. Along with that the societies are very active in out college especially like 180DC, Enactus.
- Infrastructure Is very good. The whole campus is fully AC which is a major need in Summers. There is a lot of plantation in the college.
Dislikes
- The canteen food is not so good and worth it for money. The food kind of feels spoiled sometimes and that is a major disliking about the college.
- The college gym is not so good, there are various machines which are not available.
Remarks :
This college is out of the top 7 colleges of commerce Abd there was no Group discussion or interview it was just the CUET exam and the cut off for my course was 732 and i got 734 marks out of 800 so i got this college
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum is well structured and i got this course because i have a keen interest in accounts and economics. Academics ensures that the students excel in bringing top CGPA in college and get placements from top companies. Professors are all highly qualified and the exams were mid term and end term, the mid term exams were in 2.5 months of starting the college and end term exams were 4.5 months after starting the college.
Internships Opportunities :
No i have not opted for any intership as im pursuing CA so i dont have time to manage all college,Ca and internships. But if you want to improve your CV and want to only depend on college placement then you should do various internships, participate in a lot of competitions around all colleges of DU.
Placement Experience :
Eligibility criteria for placement is mostly above 8 CGPA. There are lot of recruiters including the BIG 4 - Deloitte, KPMG, EY, PWC Highest package is aroung 34 lakhs per annum Average package is aroung 5 lakhs per annum Profile offered are mainlyninto accounting and consulting Percentage of students getting placements is around 30% I pursuing CA along with college because depending upon only college placement is not worth it
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
There are no hidden charges or anything and you just have to pay 33,000 rupees per year for 3 years. There is no minority like Sc,ST in our college as it has only Sikh minority. Therefore there is no difference in the fees between anyone
Campus Life :
Life is good, social life is also great but there are almost no fests in college itself rather just the college societies conduct there own fests. Books are available all the time during the college time in the library and the library is great having all the books of all courses and all subjects. Sports in not much appreciated in rhe college. There is a cricket ground but it is on lease. There is lack of sports material in the sports department. There are various socities students run like - 180DC, Enactus, Manchtantra, TPC, NEST, EDC
Hostel Facilities :
I have not opted for hostel rather i have taken a flat near the college, Its monthly rent is 16000 and other expbeses included the monthly expense is around 26000. I have taken in MD block pitampura.

The internship opportunities are mainly available for the commerce departments and many companies also come to offer internships here. For humanities departments to internships comes mainly from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and home ministry.

The placement cell is active. Companies like Agile Capital Services, Chegg, and Wipro visit. Eligibility requires 60%+ marks. Highest CTC offered is around 8 LPA and Average package is 4.5 LPA. Around 40-50% students get placed, while science graduates prefer higher studies (M.Sc / B.Ed). My plan is pursuing higher education and managing my student e-portfolio platform.

The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.

Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Doing masters in political science from Daulat Ram college
Placement Experience :
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
Maitreyi college is so underrated
