I am studying in sri guru gobind singh college of commerce which is currently at 7th rank for its bcom hons. Course in delhi university, i gave cuet examination for getting into it, the cut off was mainly around 740/800.
So was in my mind to do bcom hons. As i’m a commerce student so yo get more knowledge about finance and related field. Faculty is very good mostly teachers are phd holders and are renowned. Internal exams are taken after 2 to 3 months and final after 5 months for a sem.
Have done two internships one in finance and other in project management, internship opportunities is always opened for the students they can go and apply most colleges organises internships fair for students.
Placements opportunities are very good, avg. package is something around 5 lpa and max. 24 lpa. About 75% students got placed every year approx. The companies are mostly mncs who do mass hiring which better for the students.
1st year 29000, 2nd year 30000, 3rd year 31000. I don’t know much about the fee decompositions but i guess its 2000 for library, 7000 for college maintenance and development, 3000 for computer labs and remaining fixed.
I’m currently living in north campus, the life is good and very fast so far as i can’t even remember truly when did i started my college journey. Overall campus is very good books and journals are always available in library and also on e platform. At the end of every sem the sports league is conducted for different sports. There is no such web for the students but yeah students have created their own pages on insta .
I’m living in a pg, it is just like a flat to us, the owner is very friendly, the food quality is good and infrastructure is very good comparatively, no such strict restriction for timings and there are separate area for chilling.
IGNOU offers limited direct campus placement opportunities, but the degree is widely recognized and helps improve employability. Students mainly secure jobs through off-campus applications, competitive exams, or by upgrading their skills. The flexible learning system allows learners to work, prepare for higher studies, or pursue professional certifications alongside their course. IGNOU also conducts periodic placement drives through its Campus Placement Cell.
The internship opportunities are mainly available for the commerce departments and many companies also come to offer internships here. For humanities departments to internships comes mainly from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and home ministry.
The placement cell is active. Companies like Agile Capital Services, Chegg, and Wipro visit. Eligibility requires 60%+ marks. Highest CTC offered is around 8 LPA and Average package is 4.5 LPA. Around 40-50% students get placed, while science graduates prefer higher studies (M.Sc / B.Ed). My plan is pursuing higher education and managing my student e-portfolio platform.
Placement at PGDAV college are average students who have good communication skills internships and extra certification usually gets better opportunities the placement cell is active and organise placement drives , workshops , resume building session and career building guidance student should not have any active backlog
PLACEMENT FOR BBA ARE AVERAGE WITH COMPANIES OFFERING ROLE IN SALES, MAREKTING, HR AND OPERATION. AVERAGE PACKAGE IS AROUND 3 TO 4 LAKH PER YEAR MANY STUDENTS ALSO PURSUE HIGHER STUDIES LIKE MBA TO IMPROVE THEIR CARRER OPPORTUNITIES.
The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.
I am as of in starting of 3rd year. The internship options are quiet really well. They give you many companies to apply in. .
I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
