- Overall the college lies in the centre of city so it is easy to travel and you can explore many places in the college with your friends.
- Faculty at the college are really good and they help you whenever you need their help
Dislikes
- Since it is an old college, few class rooms should be developed by repairing the fans and lights.
- Number of washrooms are less and there is no canteen in the college
Remarks :
University of Visvesvaraya College of Engineering is the first engineering college in Karnataka which has an history of over 100 plus years. I chose this college because placements are amazing in this college and you will a lot of free time which you can utilise this in a proper way.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course I chose is Artificial intelligence and Machine Learning. It is a branch under computer science. In my college, all the faculties are well experienced and have doctorate degree. They guide us by their experience. You will have 2 internals for 20 marks, total 40. And 10 marks will be given by the respective subject teacher and you will have exams for 100 marks which will be further reduced into 50 marks. And grading system is all cgpa and sgpa.
Internships Opportunities :
University of Visvesvaraya College of Engineering often does soft skills development program which helps students to develop their skills and thinking abilities. You will get an internship from college and based on your skill you will also get an stipend of more than 25000 rupees per month.
Placement Experience :
University of Visvesvaraya College of Engineering is known for its placements. Many companies do visit the college and many students get placed in famous companies . Almost 97 percent people got placed last year.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee for first year is 45750 rupees and for the next 3 years you should pay 43500 rupees in college. You will get SSP Scholarship if you belong to SC/ST category and the amount that scholarship gives you is your entire fee
Campus Life :
Since you get lot of free time in university of Visvesvaraya College of Engineering you will have a plus point of having friends from different branches. They will help you whenever you have any need. Also there is a library in the college where you can sit and study in peace l. Above that there is also a study area where you can do group studies with you friends. There are almost 22 clubs in the college which are divided as technical and non technical. You will get opportunities to organise events.
Hostel Facilities :
I don't stay in college hostel but people who stay there have shared their experience. You will have different foods on the different days and also you will get snacks everyday. To join the college hostel you should first full the application form which will be provided in the office of college and later you should submit all the required documents along with an advance.

For our degree program we have well placement opportunities other than bsc agriculture and btech biotechnology. For our college only company will come like itc,shula wine, Nestle etc and they offer good package minimum around 4lakh and some have aptitude test and interview some direct interview

There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students

The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.

The criteria is the cgpa should be above 7 and the companies visited are wipro, flipkart, amazon etc. the highest package is 48 lakh per annum and lowest pacuis 3 lakh per annum and the average is 6 lakh per annum

The placement of the college is excellent in the cse stream it has an average package of 9 lakh per annum and highest package of 38 lakh per annum it is a good salary or package for an engineer so it is good placement

Faculties are well qualified and some of them are doing active research. However the college does not have a very active research environment but they do not hinder a student from taking up projects outside. They provide all support like recommendations, attendance permissions etc.

All the faculties are well qualified and quite renowned in their research fields. However some of them have this quality of holding personal grudge and targeting. Some assume you know a lot and don't teach properly and expect more from the student. There is a lot of pressure even with internals, assignments and other things.

For placement, The student shouldnt have any backlogs. There are companies that are stated as "Great Places to Work" as well as some startups that come for college recruitment. The highest package last year (2023) was 6000000, and the average package of the university is approximately 850000. A good percentage of people who opt for placements do get placed decntly. My plans after my BBA are writing GMAT and going for my MBA abroad in a good college.
