This is an upcoming research based University so I want to pursue research that's why I choose this university to get admission in this university you can get through three methods first one is through GATE examination second one is through c u e t examination third one is through direct by the recommendation of your professor in the first to there is an exam then you choose which in which university you want to take admission in, in direct route there is an interview after all there is an document verification.
The course curriculum is very good as it is updated every year by different panel of people that select what is happening in the world regarding that course also the teachers here are extremely qualified talking about exams the exams here are simple you give a midterm of 25 marks and your end semester is of 50 marks of which 35 are of theory and 15 are of MCQ so it is fairly easy to pass.
I have not opted for any internship but I have applied for different projects of government because they match my interest and also there is more clarity in government projects that you cannot find in private also the government projects are stable
This is a research based university so the companies here come in less amount for placement basically the students like to participate in different projects of governments which is stable then regular job also the university teaches students about UPSC exams and other government exam and also prepare them for same
In the Central University of Punjab the general fees is around 60k per year but if you are from other categories it is half that is 30k per year and that can also be compensated through various scholarships available mainly Gate and NSP scholarship that will pay around 12k per month also there are various state scholarships but that depend on the state of the student applying.
The social life in the campus is good there are different activities that you can be part of you can also read many books and generals in the library and their also accessible by Wi-Fi you can also Play sports on very high level the social groups in the university is also good as you can be whatever you want to be.
The hostels here are good but they are packed as four students are in a single room which is not good also the hostels need renovation the food quality in the mess is bad but it is affordable the food in mess is not balanced you can also rent a place outside but the food quality is still bad.
if you are above 6.0 cgpa and no reappears and backlogs your are eligible for 70 % of companies. recently TCS,AMAZON,COGNIZANT also came for placement highest is 51LPA,6LPA avg. 80% of each batch is placed.
To apply for placements in LPU you need to have 6+cgpa mostly. there no company as i know that went without recruiting any student. the highest was on campus was 51.03lakhs Microsoft and average was 5-6 lakhs. the students around 85 %will be placed .my plan was to do a decent job in any MNC.
Placement at CGC landran is decent around 70 to 80% student got placed based on your skills. The eligibility criteria usually includes minimum 60% marks with no active backlogs. Top recruiter companies includes TCS, Wipro, Infosys and Capgemini. The average package is around 3-4 lpa while highest package can go up to 10 to 12 lpa. Multiple offers are made every year across different domain.
I haven't done any intenship yet but Yes, internships are available at Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Mohali. Companies include TCS, Infosys, startups. Roles: Web Dev, QA, Data Analyst. Stipend ?5k–15k. Tasks include coding, testing, and project work.
The eligibility for placement is no backlog or reappear and CGPA IS above is 6 and fresher they get placement for 6thsem based on the skills and knowledge of the student and they provide a salary of 3 to 12 lakhs per/ year and recently SPICEJET company give around 8 lakhs CTC for 5 to 8 students and my plans after competing the degree is to do higher education in design modeling.
As the course is designed for pharmaceutical industry so the companies like mankind, sunpharma, macloid, overseas etc. Are top recruiters. The average package is 3-3.5 lakh per annum and highest goes upto 4lpa. As after masters most of the students goes for higher studies and teaching so the placement rate is low.
Overall Placement rate is about 60 to 70 percent for every branches . Recruiters provided descent opportunites to the students. Above 7 CGPA students get eligible. Some recruiter are Infosys, TCS, wipro, Siemens etc
College doesn't keep any eligibility criteria for placement it depends on the company which came for recruitment and yea if you had scored around 8+ cgpa you are eligible for every company Regularly company which come for recruiting students are infosys, tcs ,jsw , cognizant, Capgemini,L&T,tata steel etc Average package is 4LPA and highest package is around 55 LPA Around 75-80 percent students get placed in the college Some of the branches like instrumentation and control engineering and mechanical engineering have around 98-100% placement in the previous year
Since the college comes under an institution it opens the gate for various company and even those which just require a graduation degree instead of a specific field. Cadila Lupin etc visits every year. Good 60 to 70 students gets placed.
The placement are good but there are a lot of criterias for the placement and the college faculties force us to take the placement in the development roles to show that the college has 100% placement. There are less companies for the consultancy or data based jobs. The college doesn't provide any on campus intership. They provide intership in the college Startups and they pay very very less and they exploit the interns as lot. I got only 500 rupees for doing 1 month internship and working 6 hours a week.
