This course is a professional course for which the University of Delhi conducts an entrance exam called DUJAT which evaluates ones english comprehension skills aptitude general knowledge and reasoning. After appearing for the entrance exam, the university declares the results in rounds publishing multiple lists where it allots you colleges as per your scores in the entrance exam. Whenever you get a college alloted to you, you can contact the college administration and begin with the admission procedure. However one can choose to wait till the next list is declared if they don't wish to join the alloted college in the previous list. The college admission process is quite simple, it begins with filling the admission form followed by online document verification and then payment of the tuition fee . On joining the college on campus the physical copies of original documents needs to be submitted to the college administration. The cut off goes around 3k Rank for general category students.
The course has been newly introduced in the year 2017 and has been widely known for its quality and comprehensive course. I was always inclined towards learning about the world of finance. I was really fascinated by the idea of generation of wealth. The faculty at the college is highly qualified in their respective fields with many being PhD holders in their subjects from renowned institutions. The faculty is extremely cooperative, encouraging and friendly which makes it very easy to approach to them. They're always available for problem solving be it a big or small problem, be it related to academics or otherwise, they're always there to help. They are very well trained and are extremely tech friendly too. They give you a real life perspective while preparing you for the semester and final exams. The university conducts exams twice every year that is, May and December for the respective semesters and the datesheet is declared well in advance, so the students can plan their schedules.
Per year tution fees is for the first two years was 28k ,later it increased to 32k (for Indian students). Other than that the examination is to be paid additionally for every semester which is approx ?1.5-2k. There are no additional fees as such. If you opt for hostel, it has its own hostel fees of around ?90-100k per year. The college also provide financial aid and scholarship based on their set qualifying criterias when they have one on one meetings with the student and enquire about basic financial details like family income, number of siblings and their academic expenses, your locality etc. The fees is reduced upto 50% provided the set of criteria is met. The college tuition fees is same all Indian students and a higher amount is charged for foreign students. Everytime we need to pay exam registration fees separately for every semester and since it's a three years course and has six semesters, so the examination fees is paid six times. There are no hidden expenses other than this.
The college life is very happening so one needs to be extremely aware of their surroundings and the incoming opportunities to make the best out if those three years. The college has 14 departments and almost every department has a society related to their course , for example, we had 'Raqam', the finance society, additionally it has music, dance, fashion, cooking etc a lot of societies and clubs that you can be a part of. The has a departmental fest season in between November to February wherein there are technical and cultural events. The college support sports very actively. It has it's own gym, sports room, a huge playground and gives it's students the opportunity to participate in n' number of sports. The college library is the best in the entire Delhi University circuit, it is known for it's wide range of books and the tech support and security. The college has classrooms, seminar rooms conference halls, an auditorium an amphitheater a park and the hostel is inside the campus too.
Placement at PGDAV college are average students who have good communication skills internships and extra certification usually gets better opportunities the placement cell is active and organise placement drives , workshops , resume building session and career building guidance student should not have any active backlog
PLACEMENT FOR BBA ARE AVERAGE WITH COMPANIES OFFERING ROLE IN SALES, MAREKTING, HR AND OPERATION. AVERAGE PACKAGE IS AROUND 3 TO 4 LAKH PER YEAR MANY STUDENTS ALSO PURSUE HIGHER STUDIES LIKE MBA TO IMPROVE THEIR CARRER OPPORTUNITIES.
The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.
I am as of in starting of 3rd year. The internship options are quiet really well. They give you many companies to apply in. .
I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
du sol provides placement in news 18, aaj tak and job opportunities as according to the course of student pursuing. just visit to du sol north campus head quarter ask for the facility they will provide . bad thing is they dont provide on regular basis.
The placement cell is quite active. There are always placement and internship fairs every year and even other college students can join them. The placement recruiters are from top companies like Deloitte, KPMG, EY, etc. Although, not every one gets in these companies but then, there are other companies as well like Finshots, Voice Your Vichaar, etc. The average package is 3LPA and highest package is 8LPA.
talking about placement opportunities many companies come to campus including google microsoft to core companies like texas instruments and bajaj giving a decent job opportunity. each one with a cgpa of more than 7 easily grasp job with pay of more than 12 lpa and people with decent cgpa of more than 8 grasp top jobs in the campus
