Yes, I got in through GATE psychology score. After shortlisting interview is also conducted. I chose this institute because I am interested in this course (cognitive science). I only went through my bachelor's degree syllabus for psychology and that was sufficient. The faculty is good. You will get research oriented in this course but industry preparedness is lacking.
Faculty is well qualified. The department stands for what it preaches 'humanity'. Each professor uses different teaching style, some use slides to deliver lectures, others provide readings, some courses are run in seminar format, workshop format, so there is diversity. Exams are conducted twice in a semester which are moderate to difficult level.
We have to do a mandatory research internship during summer break. I did my intership under an IIT professor. Students can reach out to professors with whom they want to intern with. Professor also float their ongoing and upcoming projects list.
Each company sets its own eligibility criteria. OCS does not set it's criteria necessarily. Approximately 40 percent students get placed from our course many go for PhD etc. I am planning to take up PhD.
Academic fee is 13500, which includes 7500 tution and rest is the lab+library+gym etc. Hostel rent is 13000+36000 mess fee. For SC ST students no academic and hostel fee is required. OBC students get MCM scholarship, which gives 1000Rs per month and tution fees gets reimbursed.
Cultural/annual fest- rendezvous october Technical fest- tryst - march NSS fest- Kaizen - March There are many clubs run by students such as debating society, Hindi samiti, Indradhanu, board for student publications, board for indoor sports etc.
Food quality is good, moreover you get variety. Apply for hostel immediately after admission results. Hostel authorities send an email containing the link. Not everyone gets the hostel. So students prefer localities like Jia sarai etc.
IGNOU offers limited direct campus placement opportunities, but the degree is widely recognized and helps improve employability. Students mainly secure jobs through off-campus applications, competitive exams, or by upgrading their skills. The flexible learning system allows learners to work, prepare for higher studies, or pursue professional certifications alongside their course. IGNOU also conducts periodic placement drives through its Campus Placement Cell.
The internship opportunities are mainly available for the commerce departments and many companies also come to offer internships here. For humanities departments to internships comes mainly from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and home ministry.
The placement cell is active. Companies like Agile Capital Services, Chegg, and Wipro visit. Eligibility requires 60%+ marks. Highest CTC offered is around 8 LPA and Average package is 4.5 LPA. Around 40-50% students get placed, while science graduates prefer higher studies (M.Sc / B.Ed). My plan is pursuing higher education and managing my student e-portfolio platform.
Placement at PGDAV college are average students who have good communication skills internships and extra certification usually gets better opportunities the placement cell is active and organise placement drives , workshops , resume building session and career building guidance student should not have any active backlog
PLACEMENT FOR BBA ARE AVERAGE WITH COMPANIES OFFERING ROLE IN SALES, MAREKTING, HR AND OPERATION. AVERAGE PACKAGE IS AROUND 3 TO 4 LAKH PER YEAR MANY STUDENTS ALSO PURSUE HIGHER STUDIES LIKE MBA TO IMPROVE THEIR CARRER OPPORTUNITIES.
The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.
I am as of in starting of 3rd year. The internship options are quiet really well. They give you many companies to apply in. .
I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
