As coming from a muslim background this college was on my list due to various factors, you only have to fill the form that is present online which comes out in the month of July or June, and according to the extra entrances and 12 grade percentage they select you, there's no such group discussions or particular written test for taking admission.
As there are very less optometrist in india so the competition is not that high in this field rn, in jamia humdard the faculty mostly qualifies the post graduate degree and there are particular teachers for teaching there expertise in different areas, in a sem there are 3 internal exams and viva and then end sem final exams. The teachers are very friendly and understanding particularly in opto family and lab sessions take place from time to time plus hospital visits that gives the actual experiences.
Not yet, as I am in 2nd year third sem, so right now I have not applied for internship but I have done some eye camps that were choosen by our faculty so that we can have an experience of how this actually works
The placements goes high in jamia usually, in the last 5 6 years the faculty is trying to bring more and more job opportunities outside of India also as the scope there is comparatively high to india, the average package in paramedics would be around 8 - 10 lacs per annum expected, as there are less seats so the top 40% of the students are likely to get these opportunities, the eligibility criteria is usually based on the CGPA of a student and his extra activities are counted, my plans after this degree is to apply for post graduation
The semester fees is 72500 per semester, as there are total 6 semesters so the total would be 72500 × 6 for the whole course, now for the first semester you have to pay total 90,500 as it includes some extra charges such as library fee and exam fee etc. Which adds up to 90,500 for 1st sem and then 72500 for all the other sems. If any student fill the form for scholarship he/she may get it deducted from the main sem fees, for ex. If you get scholarship of 15000 for a year then the your fees for that year would be 144000 - 15000.
There are 4 different clubs, sports team for different sports, a badminton court, a cricket ground, a football course and so many tournaments takes place in jamia humdard from time to time, with so many cultural programmes and freshers and farewell. There are special days celebrated for different courses and festivies celebration take place every year with fests and good melas etc. There's a big library with all the particular books present and the campus is very well maintained with 7-8 cafeterias and an auditorium.
The food quality is really nice and very affordable for all the students, as a day scholar I would really suggest to eat in the Express Rasoi canteen as it is affordable plus very healthy food is served, as so many students from different states are residing here there are so many pgs available at very affordable rate in front of the campus only

The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.
I am as of in starting of 3rd year. The internship options are quiet really well. They give you many companies to apply in. .
I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!

The placement cell is quite active. There are always placement and internship fairs every year and even other college students can join them. The placement recruiters are from top companies like Deloitte, KPMG, EY, etc. Although, not every one gets in these companies but then, there are other companies as well like Finshots, Voice Your Vichaar, etc. The average package is 3LPA and highest package is 8LPA.
