It is one of the top tier IITs and it is the first second generation IIT that is established, and placement rates were also good ,which are the reasons which made me join in this college. For admission in IIT Bhubaneswar ,JEE Advanced exam should be cleared and the particular student should cross the marking for the required branch of IIT Bhubaneswar which are available in JOSAA.
I chose Dual Degree Course(B.tech+ M.tech) There will be 2 exams for each sem (Midterm and Endterm),weightage of midterm is 30% and endterm is 50%.Difficulty of the exams depends on the subject and subject faculty.
I have done my internship at AHRC(It is a research Center at IIT bhubaneswar). Companies like oracle, nvidia, google visit to the campus for internships with a great stipend for a period of 2 months in summer.
Placements are good , companies visit our college less in number but as the number of students compared to other colleges are low, almost 80% of the students get placed , in CSE generally 95% of the students get placed.
For Btech, for a single sem Tution fee would be 1,30,000 and Hostel fee would be 18000,fee structure is constant, hostel fee may increase for OC and OBC. As for SC,ST tution fee would be 15000 for each sem and hostel fee would be same like OBC/OC.
We have 3 fests, Tech fest names as Wiessenaire,Cultural fest named as Alma Fiesta and another fest E-Summit.They are mostly conducted in the month of February. Various types of books are available in library and classrooms were very neat and adequate. For sports , every year GC is conducted and there are various available courts such as Basketball,TT,Hockey,Cricket ground ... There are various societies which are run by ourselves such as Clix(Photography Club),Nakshatra (Astro Club)... and many more.
Food quality is average. Registration process is just payment of 18000 through a specific hostel portal for each sem. One of the main advantage in hostel is single room per person. Hostel rooms were also very neat and clean.

After completion of this course go for national health mission recruitment In odisha opsc amo exam conducted many students were passed the exam from our college and got posted. You can go for many pharmacy company 100 percent of students getting placement
There campus placement here are ok startups came here and many big mncs like tcs, flipkart etc. Some department get companies like the MBA but that is an exceptional case. No other department participate in campus drive or placement cell. Students need to apply off campus to get placed.
for placement students need to get atleast 7cgpa. The placement is decent where most students around 85% get placed . Main companies are accenture, tcs, infosys , cognizant etc. Highest package was 9lpa and average was around 4lpa . I plan to work in one of the companies i get placed in.
Students are eligible for placements from third year onwards on a condition that the student has good skills and created good projects. Companies are still coming to ITER since July, various companies like Wipro, Xerox, Paytm, Flipkart, DELL, Microsoft, TCS Infosys and various other MNCs and startups come to the campus for placements and also provide pre placement offers. Currently I have no idea about the highest and average packages as per the company and the profiles offered, but I know that the highest package offered in Iter has been 43 lakhs pa and the average package is around 6lacs-8lacs. There are certain criteria set by the college for the students to be eligible to sit in the placement, out of that more than 85% to 90% of eligible students have secured placements. Students also get internships from second year. After I get a degree and if I land a suitable job then it's okay otherwise I will look to get into civil services or defence.
It has average placements. They also provide training for that. You will be eligible from 4th year. They also provide practice schools where the eligibility is 8 cgpa. They also provide training in the 3rd and 4th year. The companies which I know are Infosys Accenture Capgemini Genpact Mindfire solutions Mindtree. Tcs. pwC Deloitte Inovaare Tata Power Cosmovolt Tech Mahindra etc. They mostly provide the packages in the range 3.5-6 lpa ..The average oncampus placement this year was 4.5 lpa and the highest was 14.5 lpa. The 30 lpa shown was off campus. So you can get jobs according to your skills and cgpa . Overally the placement is just average but roi may be better.
Actually as I am a undergraduate I don't exactly know how much is the eligibility criteria for placement but I know that the guest lecturers are given according to number of classes they do in a month My plans after getting a degree is to give jrf net /gate and to further study in reasearch lines.
Eligibility criteria for placements are based on cgpa cut off and no backlogs are allowed. A few companies that came for recruitment are Infosys, Tcs , Accenture , Cognizant , Dell , Deloitte . Profiles offered are mostly of software engineer and average package is around 600000 per annum . My plan after getting degree is to go into software engineering job .
The placement scenario is quite good as most of the students get placed before the completion of course with a decent package. Average package is around 8lpa and the highest package till now is 60+ lpa.
Course Curriculum is well structured ,in first year, evry branch subjects are mostly common and from second year onwards they taught branch specific subjects. Faculties are highly educated and they are also clear their engineering from best colleges
Yes, we do have a placement cell over here and is quite good. Many well-known companies come to recruit their employees, and the companies are quite satisfied over our senior's hard work and smartness. Many companies like Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Delloyd, etc., come to give good placements to the students at the college. I don't know the exact numbers, but the highest package was around 45 lakhs, and the average package was around 5 lakhs per annum. The average percentage of students getting placements is roughly around 70% to 80%. Currently for me, I don't have a solid plan to what to do but you never know some miracle might happen. Just joking, I do have a plan for the near future, but I am little worried about the future that on one before me start that initiative that I have thought about it.
