Review about the overall beauty of our University
Likes
- I like nearly everything of our college including its infrastructure, faculty and campus life. In case of infrastructure it is a compact of modern technology, High end,top notch and beauty. In case of faculty members they were very well educated, multi-talented and very friendly person. Our campus life is very amazing and mind-blowing with full of pure natural beauty and happiness.
- Our college is one of the most historically well known,very respectfully and most beautiful among the college in Assam. Recently it is upgraded to University from autonomous college with the name of Sibsagar University. I think from our college a large number of well known and well established people were already pass out and ruled in all over the Assam.
Dislikes
- There are only a few things about our college to dislike which are it's unhygienic washroom and toilet and some old class rooms with no proper light and fans.
- About infrastructure again it's unhygienic washroom and toilet and some old low quality class rooms is the main thing to dislike in our college's infrastructure.
Remarks :
The factors that made me choose this college is mainly it's beautiful study environment and overall eco system of the academic periods. There are a lot of good aspects of our college few of them are it's brilliant and telented faculty members, beautiful academic campus and beautiful environment.On the other hand bad aspects are nearly very few those are it's bad quality toilet and washroom and some old low quality infrastructure like class rooms . The admission process is mainly offline based but students need to fillup admission form in college website by online earlier than the date of the councelling for admission.Cut-off is mainly based on the current year HS result's percentage of the students , but every student need to score a good percentage nearly more than 60% . Specially those students who want to take Honours particularly in physics must need to score atleast 60% in Physics and Mathematics. I honestly doesn't prepare for those rounds.
Course Curriculum Overview :
My personal opinion on the course curriculum, academic and facilities are very Good. I choose BSC Honours in Physics particularly for its vast field of knowledge in science and technology and ofcourse for its highest demand in most of the jobs in recent years. Also I love this subject and curious to know it very deeply. The qualification of the faculty members of our department is very well and good most of the faculty have PhD and some of them even qualify JRF and similar level of examination.There teaching method and style are very good and nearly perfect.They provide us notes for each an every topic mentioned in syllabus and some special notes are also provided us in PDF and PPT format in plateform like WhatsApp and Google classroom also. The term examination are very student friendly and the difficulty level is a mixup of slightly easy,moderate and tuff.Mainly each and every question paper is designed for all types of students like below average, average and topper .
Internships Opportunities :
Yes, I have recently opted for similar type of internship with a well known IT company of india and the World Infosys.And it's expensive is very amazing and memorable.It mainly help us in IT job opportunity and banking related companies. Some beautiful projects like spreading awareness of IT and basic knowledge of banking among students. And clarifying some beautiful tasks like complition of some questions related to basic knowledge on banking,finance and IT within limited time duration.
Placement Experience :
Nearly 75% to 80% students of our college who successfully completed their course were easily get placement. If no campus placement is offered my employability or plans after completing the course is first of all I at first start a business of my own from home and as soon as it is immersed I will further study in physics at a good institution like central university or IIT. The highest and average package as per the company and profile offered is 3 lakh per annum and 1.5 lakh per annum respectively. Percentage of students getting placement is nearly 75%to 85% from our college which is I think very interesting and memorable highlight of our college for a long time. Some good well established IT companies like Infosys, Jio and coaching institutes also among the visited recruiters of our college, and they provide our students a lot of offers. My honest plan after getting degree is establishing a small spice business from home of my own with my family members and parents .
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The tution fees, caution fees, registration fees, admission fees development fees,lab fees and other compulsory charges during the course completion as per the category are nearly 1000,1000,1200,5,000-7,000,1000,500,1000 respectively. The fees of my batchmates for category other than my who are specially live in pg or hostel are nearly 5,000-6,000 . Names and amounts of scholarship or financial aid that are available for students are all the government scholarships available for all students who are eligible for it and who doesn't have any backlog in any semester examination are considered as free weavers, some fees like per semester final examination fees is nearly reduced to 1000-1200.The complete fees for completion of the course is nearly 25,000-30,000 for those students who are general category and having backlog .On the other hand good SGPA scorer students,no matter from which category or religion and having good attendance in classes were considered as free weavers.
Campus Life :
The feat like versity week is conducted. All major and essential books and journals are available in our central library.The amenities in our college class rooms are very well. There are enough desks, chairs, lighting and ventilation and instructional facilities are available inside the rooms for each and every department. The sports and extracurricular activities on the campus is very interesting and memorable ,every year one sports week is conducted by our college authorities where a lot of sports events are organised.And in case of extracurricular activities our college organised various types of national and international seminar in various fields of science and arts, Quiz and debate competition are also organised.Some important training like for cyber security, for competitive examinations and social welfare are organised by our college. Some social groups like nss , club for sports, and website for students like guidance and information are also run for students by themselves.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel mess, infrastructure all are very good. Application for hostel is very simple,just after the admission process students need to contact the college authorities who are working for hostel management and then the college authorities give them their particular hostel room, For further details about it they need to discuss with hostel warden. The food quality and manu of our hostel is not very good but good and healthy and nutritious. Registration process is mainly offline just after the admission process is completed students need to check the availability of the hostel seat and one notice is published by the college authorities where all information about it is mentioned then students need to pay additional admission fees for the hostel room. Admission fees is roughly between 8,000 to 9,000.The hostel admission fees is refunded by the college authorities after the completion of the course and students need to pay it for one time only.

There are teachers under which u can work and later they can surely help u land a intership, happened with one of my friend. But as of now department dont directly provide u internship. I dont wanna say vague or old numbers about average or highest placement data, so wont comment on it but overall its not that great but there are exceptions, like there are some brilliant minds who lands an enormous off campus placement.(My 2 seniors who r out of india right now) Last year Bharat electronics BHEL came and took 8 seniors for 13lpa package, some banking companies and TCs comes too. My life in B.Borooah College as a science student
Placement Experience :
Placements At B. Borooah College for a BSc Forget it. There's no placement scene like you hear about. No companies come for recruitment drives. The so-called placement cell just puts up notices for government job ads or maybe a local pharmacy needing a helper. I've never seen a single big name visit campus to hire BSc grads. So there's no list of recruiters, no number of offers, and definitely no talk of high packages. Zero students get placed from here in that way. The plan after the degree is everything. For me, it's going for an MSc. For others, it's preparing for government exams, doing B.Ed., or applying to labs and hospitals directly. This college gives you the valid degree, the ticket to sit for other exams or apply further. It doesn't get you a job. It makes you eligible to go find one yourself. Your future is 100% in your own hands after you walk out.

There are 100% internship in Bsc agriculture are also good the average packages 3 to 4 LPA the highest package is 12 LPA percentage of students getting placements are about 70 - 80% the eligibility criteria depends upon the performance of the student on its practical work and its CGPA

The ratio of placement and job is very poor, this is a college of general degree course, so after passing B.Sc., B.Sc. one does not get a job directly, in future one has to do Masters degree, PhD.But data from the last three/four year revealed that students did get jobs in SBI and some other organization, but the percentage was very low.That is why most of the students after completing normal graduation take admission in courses like Masters and BEd, Deled.And my plan in future is to do Masters from IIT or IISER, after that I want to do PhD.

Life as a BTech Student at IIT guwahati
Placement Experience :
there is a CPI criteria of around 6 to sit for placements. The highest packages for bachelors can go up to 1.5cr. Companies in coding include Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Ola, Uber, finance companies like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and many more. Highest paying companies are AlphaGrep, Quadeye, JaneStreet but that is very competitive with only people with the best results and from CS getting in. Many people also receive preplacement offers after internships. There are also many companies that visit for product management roles like Ola, Meesho etc. The placement process for Design students is separate. There are also core companies like Texas instruments, that visit.

I choose this course because I am interested in learning coding and I want to seek my future in this line. I am finding some difficulties in understanding the subjects and topics but I believe it is because I am new to this field and new to everything.
