- No job opportunity at the college also they never talk about it
- The courses need to be upgraded. They are focused on earlier methods of learning.
Remarks :
The admission was purely on the basis of merit. First one have to collect prospectus then submit the application and then when the merit list will be published have to attend the counseling process by the student itself.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Course was designed very fluently. the topics which were taught was very important for the subject. The professors were very kind and friendly and always there to help us. In the time of examinations they always took extra classes for doubt clearing.
Internships Opportunities :
No during my course I have not opted for any internship. As the college doesn't provide any internship. Also my course was purely theory base so no internship opportunity for me during my course. But professors really helps us in preparing for other compititive exams .
Placement Experience :
There were no campus placement offers or facilities at the college. But some banks offers some positions at entry level. But the college wasn't promis to give job opportunity after completing the course.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
During admission one has to pay 9000 (approx) in first semester. If wants hostel accomodation then has to pay 10000 for one year if selected in the merit list for the hostel. Apart from these per Semester there is registered fee and admission fee on 3rd sem and 5th sem which almost cost 7000 ( admission and Registration) and examination fee is 800-1200.
Campus Life :
Campus was very beautiful and filled with green. There were spaces for students to seat and chit chat. The canteen was very spacious there students can also have chit chat. Apart from these there was culture of performing music at the campus by the students which was quite mesmerizing.
Hostel Facilities :
First for hostel one has to collect hostel prospectus then submit the application. If the student has been selected as the selection is purely on the basis of merit and distance, then they have to pay the admission fee which is 10000 at the time of admission. The rooms are already allotted by the ward as per the merit list. The food was normal Assamese thali the mess fee was 1000 per month.

Good-moderate faculty but maintenance of every other thing is very much not on time The authority doesn’t seem to be concerned about the students and delays every work and at the last moment you will be running around .

Dream Campus, Not-So-Dream Jobs

There are teachers under which u can work and later they can surely help u land a intership, happened with one of my friend. But as of now department dont directly provide u internship. I dont wanna say vague or old numbers about average or highest placement data, so wont comment on it but overall its not that great but there are exceptions, like there are some brilliant minds who lands an enormous off campus placement.(My 2 seniors who r out of india right now) Last year Bharat electronics BHEL came and took 8 seniors for 13lpa package, some banking companies and TCs comes too. My plans after my degree is to get a job in electronic domain while also focusing on my photography and editing Passion Check my work on insta sodaa.edits
My life in B.Borooah College as a science student
Placement Experience :
Placements At B. Borooah College for a BSc Forget it. There's no placement scene like you hear about. No companies come for recruitment drives. The so-called placement cell just puts up notices for government job ads or maybe a local pharmacy needing a helper. I've never seen a single big name visit campus to hire BSc grads. So there's no list of recruiters, no number of offers, and definitely no talk of high packages. Zero students get placed from here in that way. The plan after the degree is everything. For me, it's going for an MSc. For others, it's preparing for government exams, doing B.Ed., or applying to labs and hospitals directly. This college gives you the valid degree, the ticket to sit for other exams or apply further. It doesn't get you a job. It makes you eligible to go find one yourself. Your future is 100% in your own hands after you walk out.

There are 100% internship in Bsc agriculture are also good the average packages 3 to 4 LPA the highest package is 12 LPA percentage of students getting placements are about 70 - 80% the eligibility criteria depends upon the performance of the student on its practical work and its CGPA

The ratio of placement and job is very poor, this is a college of general degree course, so after passing B.Sc., B.Sc. one does not get a job directly, in future one has to do Masters degree, PhD.But data from the last three/four year revealed that students did get jobs in SBI and some other organization, but the percentage was very low.That is why most of the students after completing normal graduation take admission in courses like Masters and BEd, Deled.And my plan in future is to do Masters from IIT or IISER, after that I want to do PhD.

Life as a BTech Student at IIT guwahati
Placement Experience :
there is a CPI criteria of around 6 to sit for placements. The highest packages for bachelors can go up to 1.5cr. Companies in coding include Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Ola, Uber, finance companies like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and many more. Highest paying companies are AlphaGrep, Quadeye, JaneStreet but that is very competitive with only people with the best results and from CS getting in. Many people also receive preplacement offers after internships. There are also many companies that visit for product management roles like Ola, Meesho etc. The placement process for Design students is separate. There are also core companies like Texas instruments, that visit.

I choose this course because I am interested in learning coding and I want to seek my future in this line. I am finding some difficulties in understanding the subjects and topics but I believe it is because I am new to this field and new to everything.
