It a very reputed college of south campus with NIRF ranking 34 and the course and combination that I wanted to pursue was available here ,also since I am doing geography majors and economics minor so the geography faculty of our college is a reputed one. Other then that I got 680/800 in cuet 2023 which is a pretty decent score but the cut off for north campus for my course was 740 , so I opted for this college
There are a couple of reasons for why I opted this course- 1. Firstly I wanted hons in geography but didn't got as the cut off wad high 2. This course was my second preference as it is very dynamic in nature. 3. Moreover it was offering the exact combination that I wanted . 4. This course being dynamic in nature would help me out with achieving my goal I.e upsc and would offer me enough time for the preparation of upsc. My reviews regarding the faculty would be that as far as the geography faculty is concerned ,it is superb, but there are certain teacher in other faculties which lack teaching skills . The term end exams were one time and difficulty level was moderate.
No in the college , but it is a social internship program conducted by ' aashraya ' Which is like a 1 month internship program and I am doing it in online mode It is a madhya pradesh based non profit organisation
No idea as I am not in the placement cell of my college and our course as such has noting to do with the placement so I am not really sure of . Apart from that if I say , so I have heard a lot that the placement cell our college is one of the most renowned one in the du circuit
Total fee that I paid in first year was around 15000 and apart from that the fee for filling the examination fee which was around 1500 and in 2nd year the tuition fee was 13000 and examination fee around 1500
Priyadarshini was the fest that the college conducted in March 2024 , but I cannot give more information about that as I couldn't attend it because I had to go to my home due to some emergency, but ya I did heard that is was pretty good
Our college doesn't provide hostel ,so can't really make a comment on the hostel food ,but if it would had been then it would have had been alloted to only some students as is depends on the distance from your home
IGNOU offers limited direct campus placement opportunities, but the degree is widely recognized and helps improve employability. Students mainly secure jobs through off-campus applications, competitive exams, or by upgrading their skills. The flexible learning system allows learners to work, prepare for higher studies, or pursue professional certifications alongside their course. IGNOU also conducts periodic placement drives through its Campus Placement Cell.
The internship opportunities are mainly available for the commerce departments and many companies also come to offer internships here. For humanities departments to internships comes mainly from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and home ministry.
The placement cell is active. Companies like Agile Capital Services, Chegg, and Wipro visit. Eligibility requires 60%+ marks. Highest CTC offered is around 8 LPA and Average package is 4.5 LPA. Around 40-50% students get placed, while science graduates prefer higher studies (M.Sc / B.Ed). My plan is pursuing higher education and managing my student e-portfolio platform.
Placement at PGDAV college are average students who have good communication skills internships and extra certification usually gets better opportunities the placement cell is active and organise placement drives , workshops , resume building session and career building guidance student should not have any active backlog
PLACEMENT FOR BBA ARE AVERAGE WITH COMPANIES OFFERING ROLE IN SALES, MAREKTING, HR AND OPERATION. AVERAGE PACKAGE IS AROUND 3 TO 4 LAKH PER YEAR MANY STUDENTS ALSO PURSUE HIGHER STUDIES LIKE MBA TO IMPROVE THEIR CARRER OPPORTUNITIES.
The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.
I am as of in starting of 3rd year. The internship options are quiet really well. They give you many companies to apply in. .
I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
