Location of college i.e. in Sec -12 of Chandigarh, connectivity is pretty good to every place in the city. ISBT is only a 10-15 ride. Placements were good enough. Exposure is pretty good too, there are tons of cultural clubs and technical societies in the college. The annual techno-cultural fest - PECFEST is just awesome. Infra is good enough. For 1st year classes happen in new academic blocks and AC rooms, from 2nd year onwards, and classes in respective dept. Hostels are a bit expensive compared to quality. Still, New hostels coming up. Academics are not that strict, you get plenty of time to try out other things as well. There is a basketball court, tennis court, badminton court, gym, swimming pool, athletics ground, cricket ground, football ground. Admission criteria- Through Jee Main, you can check the cutoff on the Josaa website or college Pravesh. There are some other modes of admission also like for students from armed forces background or from sports quota etc that you can check on the college website
The course curriculum is good and regularly updated following NEP 2020. Still teaching methods are mostly traditional, or with PPTs and all, you will only like the teaching of only 2-3 professors at max. There are 3-4 quizzes in every subject, 1 mid-sem, 1 end, lab or tutorial, and assignments. Mostly mindset is 2 in one day. And endsems too get wrapped up mostly around a week only. The fee hike is maxed 10% every year There are plenty of scholarships available which you can check on the institute's website
Yes, I opted for an internship. The college allows students to do semester-long 6-month internships in the 6th semester. Interviews for the same start at the beginning of the 5th semester. There were companies offering 80k to 1.5 lac as stipend , some in around 40-60k range, some around 12k -30k range,
There is or placement cell, CDGC (career development and guidance centre). It provides us with internship opportunities for the complete 6th semester or summer internships after the 6th semester. Interviews for internships start in August for 5th sem students. For placements same starts in August for 7th sem students. Around 50-60 percent of students got internships this year through CDC. Though placements were good enough till last year with an overall average of around 13 lpa including all branches. But this year the number of companies visiting is a bit less for placements. That is going on in every college not only ours. This year's placement data has not been released yet

I don't have much idea about eligibility criteria because I have been in the clg 3 months. Company like Jp Morgan godrej britannia etc are the tip recruiters in our branch. This semester My H and Q company have given intern to many students. I am planning for government jobs. 40% of students are places in my branch.

There is minimum 4 months of internship we have to do in 6th semester and on campus opportunities is very good. Companies like Microsoft, Google, Atlassian, BMW, jp Morgan, AMEX came with highest package of 86 LPA
I was never interested in this course but due to family stress I was forced to do this and later on it was much intrested than any other subject. The beginning and end of universe is all what engineering teaches us and if somebody will find it not interesting then he should cut himself from this world.
The placement is quite very low for my department and my course. University is practicing for encouraging more companies for our course placement. It is improving but now the placement is low for my course . Like from last year only 5 were placed out of 60.
