Remarks :

Talking about myself IIT Delhi has very cut-off being the top choice for all the students aspiring. In general category closing rank for boys is around 5000 for the lowest branch while for girls it is around 10-12000.I have taken a jee coaching for preparing for the exam.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose chemical engineering because it has good scope and also I was getting this branch in my college at my rank. The faculties of iit are highly qualified from well known universities and have very good H-indexes. Most of the professor show presentations in class but some professors also use conventional black board teaching in the class. It is mandatory to do self study as one cannot score good by just classes because of very vast syllabus. Every semester there are two exams held the mid-sem exam and the post-sem exam, but along with them there are multiple quizzes in every course held in every one or two weeks. Exams are also quit difficult as questions are mostly application based and also have large syllabus but with regular studying students can score quite good enough.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The tuition fees for one semester is 110000 and hostel fees is 35000. The tuition fees includes every fees mentioned above and the admission fees at our time was 15000. This fee structure is for general category, for EWS, SC and ST the fee structure is different. I don't know the exact fee structure but it is very moderate. Also the college provides scholarships to students who are top 10% performers in every batch. Other than this college also provide scholarships to those students who are unable to pay their fees on the basis of some minimum required cgpa criteria.

Campus Life :

There are multiple fests held in IIT including Asia's largest cultural fest Rendezvous (October), entrepreneurship fest BECon (February), technical fest Tryst (March), along with some other small fests like Literati, Kaizen, Indradhanu, etc. The central library has around 300000 books and journals including softcopies. Talking about classrooms, classrooms are fully air conditioned, have projectors, etc. The capacity of classrooms vary from 40 to 500. Sports and extra-curriculars have very strong culture in IITD. Every year inter hostel sports championship, group dance, band battles are arranged and the winning hostels are rewarded with trophies. Along with sports, music and dance, literature, fine arts, coding, astronomy, economics are very active cubs in IITD. There are multiple student run groups that work for different causes like National Service Scheme (NSS),Board of Student Welfare (BSW), Office of Carrier and Services(placement cell), eDc(entrepreneur devolopment cell),etc.

Hostel Facilities :

IITD have hostels having one, two, three seater rooms aand every room contains basic items like bed, table , chair ,cupboard, bookshelf, etc for every student. We have to register for the hostel only during admissions. The quality of food is quite good, but the taste is average. A daily menu is followed for every week, and after every month menu is changed. The hostel provides three meals a day along with evening tea and snacks. According to the facilities provided in the hostel like washing machines for laundry, geysers in washrooms, T.V. in common room, gym in hostel, dance room, music room badminton court, basketball court, etc. the hostel fees is quite affordable and fair.

Distance learning along with fun.

Placement Experience :

IGNOU offers limited direct campus placement opportunities, but the degree is widely recognized and helps improve employability. Students mainly secure jobs through off-campus applications, competitive exams, or by upgrading their skills. The flexible learning system allows learners to work, prepare for higher studies, or pursue professional certifications alongside their course. IGNOU also conducts periodic placement drives through its Campus Placement Cell.

DU Experience Packed with Learning, Practical Skills, and Dedicated Student Portfolio

Placement Experience :

The placement cell is active. Companies like Agile Capital Services, Chegg, and Wipro visit. Eligibility requires 60%+ marks. Highest CTC offered is around 8 LPA and Average package is 4.5 LPA. Around 40-50% students get placed, while science graduates prefer higher studies (M.Sc / B.Ed). My plan is pursuing higher education and managing my student e-portfolio platform.

Gargi Colleg , Delhi university

Placement Experience :

The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.

Doing masters in political science from Daulat Ram college

Placement Experience :

Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
