Vnit is one of the best Engineering colleges in India as it is an NIT. One thing that I like about this college is compared to other college that I was getting (nit Calicut) is the location and the professors. Most of the professors here are phd holders assistant professors to HoD's. They are ready to help and clear the students doubt actively for now this is what I have observed. The only thing that you have to do to get into this college is to get a good enough rank in JEE mains nothing else.
One thing that I don't like about NITs is that they still have old curriculum. We still have to study engineering drawing with sheets and pencil but the industry has been upgraded to auto cad. This is one issue. As for the faculties most of the faculties are good there teaching needs some time to process but is understandable. The professors are knowledgeable and are ready to clarify doubts most of the times.
No I have not yet applied for any intership as I am still not capable of applying to any I feel as I am still in 1st year. I can tell about my seniors experience he is currently doing in am aviation company in nagpur not sure which one but he said that the experience that he got there is very useful and was fun.
As it is an NIT the placement and intership opportunities are quite good. Last year 80% of the students registered for placements were placed and the highest being in mechanical branch. The average package is around 12-13lpa. For interships you can do stipend based internships either by applying yourself or with reference with the professors.
Total tution fee per year - 125000 Registration fee - 500 Library fee -750 Student activity fee-1250 Sports fee-2500 Development fee- 3000 End semester examination fee- 1000 Hostel and mess fee- 32500 Sc/St pay zero tution fee
The campus life is fine. Not too great for 1st years as they have in time of 8pm in this night but other than that also there are some seminars where they are not called or involved into. The campus is located in the centre of the city so almost every single facility is available very easily to the students. There are a number of clubs which can help the students in various aspects of their life. They can improve their personality in the dramatics club or be in the technical field and more. For the sports almost every famous games are available with good maintenance like football, cricket, indoor badminton courts, table tennis, handball, kabaddi, volleyball and more.
The infrastructure of hostels are pretty old but ok good enough for survival. 1st years have 2 hostels with mess inside the hostel as they have in time. The hostel has first aid facility, a few sports, a common tv room. The rooms are very spacious. It's a 2 or 3 seater room based on when you come to get hostel.
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
Diffrent companies have different criteria, limited companies comes in campus such as bootcoding Pvt.Ltd , and some small companies arrived. Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.
The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .
There are the placements are done in the final year of college, You are eligible for the appear in the placements drive you have to score good scores in the semester exams. There are the lowest 3LPA and highest 6LPA packages are offered by the companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, BOAT, SBI , Ultra Tech, Mahindra, Capgemini etc. Students have to maintain their SGPA up to 8.0 CGPA.
engineering course curriculum is very old specially for university batch students my batch get admission in 2022 at that our college is not get autonomous status. passing semester exams is little hard in university compare to autonomous batch. faculties teachings methods are very old. And not practical learning provided.
there are lots of mnc company visted college every year, most of companies have there eligiblity criteria is 60% and above overall from 10th, the biggest tech companies like tcs, wipro, accenture, deloitte, infosys, the average package is around 3lpa, every year 50 to 70% students getting placed.
The placements are nice. Majorly Hafiz contractor firm take students. But a lot of firms do come fruit placement. Take interview and hire students. Last year a lot of students got placements based on their portfolios and skills And got salaries ranging from 2,50,000-6,00,000 Annually.
The placement and job opportunities in college is good the MOU's signed by company are good almost 40-50% of college gets placement remaining go for off campus placements there are companies like TCS , Accenture etc
