I did not face any interviews or written test . I did thorough research while choosing the college and I came to know that Wilson College offers great variety of courses . Also Wilson came into top 5 colleges in Mumbai University . Campus is good there are many highlights of the collage such as quadrangle, the fountain, the canteen also the statute of Mr . John Wilson also the college give Hogwarts like vibes . The old british constructions is cherry on the top . But the crowd is not that good . You will face challenges in creating rapport with the crowd . Eventually you will have to adjust which drains the energy .
I was trying to take admission in BA psychology but unfortunately the cut-off was to high due to which I had to choose BA Philosophy. The course is good and the faculties are also good they really take efforts to provide good notes to students also the course is not that difficult you can study just for a week or two and you can get a good marks . Their are CIA Exams ( 20 marks exam ) and Semester Exams ( 60 marks exam ) also there are semester wse project for each paper mostly there are individual projects . The exams are not that difficult and they won't trouble you very often .. Overall , teaching style and the exam pattern are good match for scoring great .
No i haven't opted for any internship yet . I have been trying to get an internship but I am not yet succesful in finding any internship . I have given interviews in different companies and I am waiting for their call
There are no such placements facilities in college even the students have to look up for there own internships . The college do provide some vocational lecturers and trainings which can be useful for cracking an interview but apart from this the college does not help in any employment opportunities .. I suggest starting finding an internship right from the first semester atleast this is what I did and currently I am in a search of an internship .
The amount 7590 includes tution fee , exam fee , gym fee , lab fee , medical fee registration fee etc .. This year the fee was increased by 10 % by the collage . I don't know if it would increase next year or not but if I have to give an aggregate number then for 3 year it would be almost 20 to 25 thousand. Scholarships are available for minority students that is for SC / ST / OBC and Christian minority also there is one scholership called ANGC . Courses are divided into Aided and Unaided section so the fee differs from course to course .
The campus life is not that great . Looking from a distance you make think it's very great and glamorous but when you look close into it and when you experience the campus life it's very much depressing . You may feel alone because the crowd doesn't include any outsider in their group . There are many clubs in the college for example the muktangan , The move etc . There are fest going on every now and then .. fests like OLE , HOPE are a big deal . College also encourages to take part in fest of other colleges also there are many events happening in the college like the tie and saree day , traditional day , bazaar day etc .. Library are filled with varities of books of different subjects. Every department has it's own honour in the library .. Classroom are pretty much big with ambient light and fans and there are CCTV'S for security .
I am not a resident of a college hostel but my friend is in the college hostel . The name of the 2 college hostels are Mackichan boys hostel and Pandita Ramabai Girls hostel . The infrastructure of the hostel is really very good from outside . I have once tasted the mess food and the mess food is average the first impression was kind of disappointing but if compared to other hostel mess food it's quite good . Also there is fix routine of menu which repeats every week on Sunday's students have to buy there own food for night as the mess does not provide food in Sunday nights
The placements & job opportunities in the campus placements is good in our college like honestly it is good and also it is reason for students to take admission because there are many company coming to college. The average package is around i will say is 4.5lpa of all branches and here ENTC and MECHANICAL branch have more than 96% placement rate The highest package is of 22lpa which was from CS. The ground reality the percentage of students placed from this college is around 70% like the core branches students have higher placement rates and technincal branches placement rate is of around 70%-80% the core branches students also gets placed in tech. The main recruiters are TCS,ESDS,WIPRO,TECH MAHINDRA,INFOSYS,L&T and more. NVIDIA was also there but last year they banned the college because some students cheated in online interview.
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
Diffrent companies have different criteria, limited companies comes in campus such as bootcoding Pvt.Ltd , and some small companies arrived. Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.
The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .
The placements are nice. Majorly Hafiz contractor firm take students. But a lot of firms do come fruit placement. Take interview and hire students. Last year a lot of students got placements based on their portfolios and skills And got salaries ranging from 2,50,000-6,00,000 Annually.
The placement and job opportunities in college is good the MOU's signed by company are good almost 40-50% of college gets placement remaining go for off campus placements there are companies like TCS , Accenture etc
Psychology as a field is highly recognized and growing sector after the lockdown, people are more focused on mental health, thus bhavans was the best option as they have Psychology department set for almost 20years which makes them more experienced. The teaching method of Dr.kranti Gawali the hod is excellent.
Student must pass all the Sem for the placement or college is new thats why there was no records about placement, My after the degree to be a indie game developer and build an aweosom game with the help of C++
