An off Campus College that I both love and hate

- Class infrastructure: broken benches, not enough chairs
- No air conditioned spaces for some classes at all
Remarks :
No, I did not face any discussion or test. I chose this college mainly because I wanted to get into DU and Zakir Hussain seemed like a renowned name. The campus is quite clean and one of the best ones out of south campus ones.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum was neither too outdated and nor something that you would love. It was good for even those people who were not too experienced in this field. However, if someone wants a more in-depth course, they should go for an honours course.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
There are some scholarships for minorities and Kashmiri minorities. Otherwise, the fee is quite cheap for all courses, especially for mine. For me, I completed my entirety of graduation in only 16k or so rupees.
Campus Life :
The life is campus is pretty chill except for two cases: 1) elections and 2) religious fights. Since it’s a Muslim college, both Hindus and Muslims enrol here and a small argument often escalates into a huge political tussle. Other than that, it is a middle class space where you wouldn’t find the rich urban kids of north campus, but a rather more underprivileged crowd with varied political leanings.

Students mainly secure jobs through off-campus applications, competitive exams, or by upgrading their skills. IGNOU also conducts periodic placement drives through its Campus Placement Cell.

The internship opportunities are mainly available for the commerce departments and many companies also come to offer internships here. For humanities departments to internships comes mainly from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and home ministry.

The placement cell is active. Companies like Agile Capital Services, Chegg, and Wipro visit. Eligibility requires 60%+ marks. Highest CTC offered is around 8 LPA and Average package is 4.5 LPA. Around 40-50% students get placed, while science graduates prefer higher studies (M.Sc / B.Ed). My plan is pursuing higher education and managing my student e-portfolio platform.

Placement at PGDAV college are average students who have good communication skills internships and extra certification usually gets better opportunities the placement cell is active and organise placement drives , workshops , resume building session and career building guidance student should not have any active backlog

PLACEMENT FOR BBA ARE AVERAGE WITH COMPANIES OFFERING ROLE IN SALES, MAREKTING, HR AND OPERATION. AVERAGE PACKAGE IS AROUND 3 TO 4 LAKH PER YEAR MANY STUDENTS ALSO PURSUE HIGHER STUDIES LIKE MBA TO IMPROVE THEIR CARRER OPPORTUNITIES.

The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.

Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Doing masters in political science from Daulat Ram college
Placement Experience :
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
Maitreyi college is so underrated

The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
