First thing is this is the nearest NIT from my home town, I wanted to go to Southern NITs , though couldn't get due to the rank so this was the best choice. There was no as such GD or interview, got admission directly on the basis of JEE Mains Score.
Faculties are good but can't really depend on faculties only , teaching method is not that great Just like an old school teachers except 1 teacher Respected Sachin Bakre sir who was exceptional in every aspect as well as modern. Exam are two times per semester I,e midsem and endsems with moderate difficulty easy to pass but difficult to score high.
I haven't yet applied for internships , mostly 3rd 4th yesr students get internship opportunities. There is criteria for internships, CGPA matters the most for getting good internships.
Placements are decent , more than half of student btech students geta placed every year from different branches , even if you don't get selected for placements collge will try their to place you , and there are various ways to get off campus placements
125000 is the total fees per year including all types of fees. 100% remission if income is less than 1 lakh 66% remission if income less than 5 lakhs irrespective of category. Full fee remission for SC/ST students.
IG biggest event in VNIT conducted in the month of March. Cult Night September VNIT's Cultural fest is conducted in the month of November. Consortium of ECell is conducted in Feb Belive me library is so huge and there are great facilities, I will give 8/10 to availablity of books. Sports facilities are one of the best in all the NITs , there is no comparison of VNITs sports facilities. There are lots of club more than 30, one of those club is Hallabol, Ivy labs , octaves.
Hostel mess ok , I will call it decent , 20k of one semester,you will get Breakfast Lunch snacks and dinner. Appling for Hostel is really simple just need to fill 1 form. I suggest you to prefer hostel as it is good.
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
Diffrent companies have different criteria, limited companies comes in campus such as bootcoding Pvt.Ltd , and some small companies arrived. Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.
The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .
There are the placements are done in the final year of college, You are eligible for the appear in the placements drive you have to score good scores in the semester exams. There are the lowest 3LPA and highest 6LPA packages are offered by the companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, BOAT, SBI , Ultra Tech, Mahindra, Capgemini etc. Students have to maintain their SGPA up to 8.0 CGPA.
engineering course curriculum is very old specially for university batch students my batch get admission in 2022 at that our college is not get autonomous status. passing semester exams is little hard in university compare to autonomous batch. faculties teachings methods are very old. And not practical learning provided.
there are lots of mnc company visted college every year, most of companies have there eligiblity criteria is 60% and above overall from 10th, the biggest tech companies like tcs, wipro, accenture, deloitte, infosys, the average package is around 3lpa, every year 50 to 70% students getting placed.
The placements are nice. Majorly Hafiz contractor firm take students. But a lot of firms do come fruit placement. Take interview and hire students. Last year a lot of students got placements based on their portfolios and skills And got salaries ranging from 2,50,000-6,00,000 Annually.
The placement and job opportunities in college is good the MOU's signed by company are good almost 40-50% of college gets placement remaining go for off campus placements there are companies like TCS , Accenture etc
