Remarks :
To choose this college the main factor is IIT and it is a prestigious college and it has a legacy of 99 years that is going to complete its 100 years in 2026. It has good placement stats and professors are good. To get into this colege ,you have to clear JEE Advanced exam and go through jossa counselling(it does councelling for all IITs IIITs NITs and some other collages).The administration is very strict and the campus feels little smaller however its another campus is proposed and is going to be functional in near future, faculties are good but some profs are very strict specially from CSE and ECE departments.I have prepared from Allen KOTA u can prepare by self study also , for more information must research for JEE Advanced Exam.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Very honestly i say this " i choose this course because i can't get any better opportunity in IITs". But after getting this course i feel that thre are great oppourtunity in foreign developed countries. Faculties are very qualified some had done their Phd from universities like Oxford ,IIT Bombay etc and They are good at teaching(mostly, some have accent problems). There are mid term exam(30% weightage) and End term exam(50%) , between then profs can 2 quizzes or assignment (20%).Their is relative grading, and difficulty level, question pattern all depends upon profs.
Internships Opportunities :
Yes , i have been recruited for Finantial Market intern at Future First at 40k stipend per month for 2 months in Banglore . Internship opportunities are good in this College , detailed information is shared in placement section.
Placement Experience :
Placement opportunities are good compared from private colleges but not as good as top IITs. Eligibility depends on companies some have CGPA criteria some has branch restrictions . Google Microsoft Amazon Goldman Sachs Walmart etc recruit ,the on campus highest package is around 53 lpa and the average is different for different departments (mostly it range from 12 lpa to 30 lpa) for lower branches most companies offer around 8-10 lpa in core sector. around 80-85 % students were placed ,numbers are low for some departments but some have numbers like 95-96 . I am going to my core sector. for internships around 300-350 students were recruited ,Mncs mentioned above come for internships also it rang mainly from 40k to 150k some provide more than that some are low in it .
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Total fee in monsoon semester is approx 136k and in winter semester is approx 126 k. It includes all the free like tuition fee, examination fee, electricity fee, gym fee, health care feel, hostel fee, mess fee, you don't have to pay any extra penny after that. There is fee wavier for economically weaker section for annual income of family less than 1 lakh the tuition fee is zero and for those whose family annual income lies between 1 to 5 lakh the tuition fee is only 33000. NO tuition fees for SC ST students also they get pocket allowance 18k per semester. There are different types of scholarships ,some are institutional and some are by alma matters.
Campus Life :
There are four fest 1st Khanan the annual Geo mining fest conducted by mining department, the second is Contetto the techfest of IITISM Dhanbad in October and in February there is a cultural Fest SRIJAN and the sports fest is parakram that was held in March and there are sports meets and General Championship. we have The Central library which is the Asia second largest library so you can go and find any kind of book from any kind of topic and a lot of journals are there , some magazines and Newspapers are also provided . for sports and extra curricular activities the college provides a good facility, it has its own ground and indoor sport rooms. There are cultural clubs are for dance music drama poetry etc tech clubs fare there like Mecizmu Robo Ism CyberLabs etc . we have institute to innovation hub, institute research facality and student's activity centre for that .they provide you all kind of assistance for any project you want to pursue .
Hostel Facilities :
You will be provide hostel by administration not any Your cup of tea , u can choose your roomate from 2nd year and change him/her any time ,you get chance to choose your preferable room if batch is shifted in another hostel (for btech boys 1st year Amber hostel 2nd and 3rd year Aquamarine hostle final year jasper hostel ) for girls new rosaline and old rosaline are there , there are total 13 hostel , food quality is as same as hostel food "bad at all" student committee decide the menu , in our hostel u can get any thing in food metals plastic cloths insects but not taste .

Placements are the main reason people come here. For Electrical, big players like Tata Steel, JSW, and Vedanta are regulars. The average package stays around ?7–8 LPA, while the highest can go up to ?15–20 LPA for core branches. You become eligible for placements from the 7th semester. I’m planning to sit for GATE as well, as many seniors here aim for PSUs. College give only about 30% placement and there is very few companies or hospitals which are visited to the college for the employees. You have to do it with yourself when you are go to the internship. The highest and average package as I see is about 30,000 per month and maximum to 50,000 per month And I saw that student who top is maximum getting chance for the placement which is rare .
Netaji Subhas University is best for engineering in low fee and for who is already doing job

You have to not active backlog in any subject. 8+ cgpa perefer first then below 8+. Eternal achievers, infinite solution, paul tech like local jamshedpur it company visit for placement. 80% students placed from our university. I will look for higher education.

I don't have any specific information about placements because I am still studying, but some seniors have got jobs which tells me that everything is fine. There are some seniors who work in Tata Motors and DRDO with good payments.

The intern is provided for training in nearby schools in 3rd semester. It is unpaid internship basically done under the curriculum.It is compulsory for the students to complete this teacher's training to get the B.ed degree. There is no such placement opportunities You have to go off campus to get placed in any school.

There is no campus placement in this college, so we have to plan our own jobs or internships after completing the course. Eligibility criteria for jobs depends on companies, mostly they ask for basic knowledge and skills related to the course. Some students do internships on their own in local companies or online. Since there is no official placement, there are no recruiters, packages or offers from college. Around 0% students get placement from college itself. My plan after degree is to prepare for government jobs and also apply for some private jobs related to my field. Overall, college is good for learning, but for placements you have to work on your own

"Placements in my college are slowly improving but still not at the level of top engineering colleges. Some companies visit every year but the number of offers is limited. Students who have good skills and prepare on their own get opportunities easily. The eligibility for sitting in placements is usually 6.0 CGPA and no major backlogs. Recruiters like small IT companies, training firms and a few core-related companies have visited. The highest package was around 6–7 LPA and the average stays near 3 LPA depending on the branch. Around 25–35% students get placed from campus and others go for off-campus drives. Internships are mostly arranged by students themselves through online platforms. After completing my degree, I plan to prepare for off-campus jobs and also improve my technical skills to get a better job in company or in government job
Expensive college with mediocre placements
Placement Experience :
Placements are mediocre in my branch ece. Last year 60-70 percent students are placed. Average package is 13lpa approx and highest in my branch was 58lpa. Core companies like NXP come for placement. Tech companies like foipkart, meesho, visa, goldman sachs come for placement.
