- Campus area is large , there are many hangout places inside and outside the campus and the town is only 7 km away for the campus
- Faculty is so good that they will take us for their research and it will very useful
Dislikes
- No single rooms for the first years students and nonveg taste somewhat bad
- There is network speed limit which is around 15 mbps while we are connected to college wifi
Remarks :
Mechanical Engineering in nit Rourkela has a huge value and the packages are also high and due to this i have choosen this college over the other colleges no group discussion and no interview only based on jee mains result
Course Curriculum Overview :
Mechanical Engineering in nit Rourkela is on the top among all nit and histories has a huge package values and more practical knowledge, you can learn more about everything in this course and college has more views towards practical education
Internships Opportunities :
As i am in first year pf my mechanical engineering, we can earn from the sixth semister and through paid internships and we can also do internships under a professor but they are only for experience and for the cv not paid
Placement Experience :
Campus placement are more often here , students can earn through paud intern from 6 th semister itself and this year they the highest package has reached 1.2 crore pre annum and there are good top companies visits here such as google amazon mahindra tata and wipro etc
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The annual fee for mechanical engineering first year is around 2,60,000rs and if the family income is less than 1 lakh then you have to pay 1 lakh per year this is also for sc and st category students and if family income is less than 5lakh the you have to pay around 1/3 of total fee per year
Campus Life :
The campus area is too large and also has swimming pool and academic areas are also big and we can experience a very happy social life here we can go outside whenever we want to go and thats also a main reason for joining into this college
Hostel Facilities :
No single room allowed for the first years and from second year onwards you can have single rooms Nonveg is good in quantity but quite bad in taste and hostle room are okay but need to improve , food was completely good

After completion of this course go for national health mission recruitment In odisha opsc amo exam conducted many students were passed the exam from our college and got posted. You can go for many pharmacy company 100 percent of students getting placement

There campus placement here are ok startups came here and many big mncs like tcs, flipkart etc. Some department get companies like the MBA but that is an exceptional case. No other department participate in campus drive or placement cell. Students need to apply off campus to get placed.

for placement students need to get atleast 7cgpa. The placement is decent where most students around 85% get placed . Main companies are accenture, tcs, infosys , cognizant etc. Highest package was 9lpa and average was around 4lpa . I plan to work in one of the companies i get placed in.

Placement Experience :
Students are eligible for placements from third year onwards on a condition that the student has good skills and created good projects. Companies are still coming to ITER since July, various companies like Wipro, Xerox, Paytm, Flipkart, DELL, Microsoft, TCS Infosys and various other MNCs and startups come to the campus for placements and also provide pre placement offers. Currently I have no idea about the highest and average packages as per the company and the profiles offered, but I know that the highest package offered in Iter has been 43 lakhs pa and the average package is around 6lacs-8lacs. There are certain criteria set by the college for the students to be eligible to sit in the placement, out of that more than 85% to 90% of eligible students have secured placements. Students also get internships from second year. After I get a degree and if I land a suitable job then it's okay otherwise I will look to get into civil services or defence.

It has average placements. They also provide training for that. You will be eligible from 4th year. They also provide practice schools where the eligibility is 8 cgpa. They also provide training in the 3rd and 4th year. The companies which I know are Infosys Accenture Capgemini Genpact Mindfire solutions Mindtree. Tcs. pwC Deloitte Inovaare Tata Power Cosmovolt Tech Mahindra etc. They mostly provide the packages in the range 3.5-6 lpa ..The average oncampus placement this year was 4.5 lpa and the highest was 14.5 lpa. The 30 lpa shown was off campus. So you can get jobs according to your skills and cgpa . Overally the placement is just average but roi may be better.

Actually as I am a undergraduate I don't exactly know how much is the eligibility criteria for placement but I know that the guest lecturers are given according to number of classes they do in a month My plans after getting a degree is to give jrf net /gate and to further study in reasearch lines.

Eligibility criteria for placements are based on cgpa cut off and no backlogs are allowed. A few companies that came for recruitment are Infosys, Tcs , Accenture , Cognizant , Dell , Deloitte . Profiles offered are mostly of software engineer and average package is around 600000 per annum . My plan after getting degree is to go into software engineering job .

The placement scenario is quite good as most of the students get placed before the completion of course with a decent package. Average package is around 8lpa and the highest package till now is 60+ lpa.

Course Curriculum is well structured ,in first year, evry branch subjects are mostly common and from second year onwards they taught branch specific subjects. Faculties are highly educated and they are also clear their engineering from best colleges

Yes, we do have a placement cell over here and is quite good. Many well-known companies come to recruit their employees, and the companies are quite satisfied over our senior's hard work and smartness. Many companies like Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Delloyd, etc., come to give good placements to the students at the college. I don't know the exact numbers, but the highest package was around 45 lakhs, and the average package was around 5 lakhs per annum. The average percentage of students getting placements is roughly around 70% to 80%. Currently for me, I don't have a solid plan to what to do but you never know some miracle might happen. Just joking, I do have a plan for the near future, but I am little worried about the future that on one before me start that initiative that I have thought about it.
