Likes
- I like the infrastructure they build it nicely and its clean, campus is clean and the ground is big.
- Buildings are kept clean by the workers which is nice.
Dislikes
- I don't like the washrooms they are very dirty.
- They don't take responsibilities to clean the washrooms also.
Remarks :
I chose this college because many people said that it's a good college and also it has good results and my relatives and friends also suggested this college that's why. Also alot of people said that this college is improving these days alot.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The college provide a lot of opportunities for Students and has alot of options for subjects including bsc, bcom and arts, it also includes sanskrit and assamese departments. Nevertheless it would be helpful if the college could have options for more sports and extra curriculum activities for the students.
Internships Opportunities :
No internship opportunities are provided by the college for the students. They also don't guide us in these matters. Students sometimes apply as an intern outside the college. The professors sometimes do gives us a little information about these things.
Placement Experience :
According to my knowledge there is no placements or job opportunities being provided for the students in the college. There is also rarely any career guidance seminars being held in the college that could help the students for their future.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Yearly it's around 7500, 5000 for admission and 1000 for registration per sem. And other curricular activities from dept also takes a certain amount sometime so it's around 7500 to 8000. The college is quite affordable compared compared other college.
Campus Life :
It's not bad but not good. I faced alot of racism and discrimination in this college. People sometimes ignore the tribal people and sometimes even call us Japanese, Chinese so I would say it consist alot of racists. Faculty members also criticize us sometimes which is very sad.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel in the college has been pretty safe place for students from outside and wants to live near the college. The food being provided are average and could be better because of the fees that's being paid by the students. The hostel's infrastructures could be maintained better and cleaner and provide facilities in the bathroom and rooms.

Good-moderate faculty but maintenance of every other thing is very much not on time The authority doesn’t seem to be concerned about the students and delays every work and at the last moment you will be running around .

There are teachers under which u can work and later they can surely help u land a intership, happened with one of my friend. But as of now department dont directly provide u internship. I dont wanna say vague or old numbers about average or highest placement data, so wont comment on it but overall its not that great but there are exceptions, like there are some brilliant minds who lands an enormous off campus placement.(My 2 seniors who r out of india right now) Last year Bharat electronics BHEL came and took 8 seniors for 13lpa package, some banking companies and TCs comes too. My plans after my degree is to get a job in electronic domain while also focusing on my photography and editing Passion Check my work on insta sodaa.edits
My life in B.Borooah College as a science student
Placement Experience :
Placements At B. Borooah College for a BSc Forget it. There's no placement scene like you hear about. No companies come for recruitment drives. The so-called placement cell just puts up notices for government job ads or maybe a local pharmacy needing a helper. I've never seen a single big name visit campus to hire BSc grads. So there's no list of recruiters, no number of offers, and definitely no talk of high packages. Zero students get placed from here in that way. The plan after the degree is everything. For me, it's going for an MSc. For others, it's preparing for government exams, doing B.Ed., or applying to labs and hospitals directly. This college gives you the valid degree, the ticket to sit for other exams or apply further. It doesn't get you a job. It makes you eligible to go find one yourself. Your future is 100% in your own hands after you walk out.

There are 100% internship in Bsc agriculture are also good the average packages 3 to 4 LPA the highest package is 12 LPA percentage of students getting placements are about 70 - 80% the eligibility criteria depends upon the performance of the student on its practical work and its CGPA

The ratio of placement and job is very poor, this is a college of general degree course, so after passing B.Sc., B.Sc. one does not get a job directly, in future one has to do Masters degree, PhD.But data from the last three/four year revealed that students did get jobs in SBI and some other organization, but the percentage was very low.That is why most of the students after completing normal graduation take admission in courses like Masters and BEd, Deled.And my plan in future is to do Masters from IIT or IISER, after that I want to do PhD.

Life as a BTech Student at IIT guwahati
Placement Experience :
there is a CPI criteria of around 6 to sit for placements. The highest packages for bachelors can go up to 1.5cr. Companies in coding include Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Ola, Uber, finance companies like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and many more. Highest paying companies are AlphaGrep, Quadeye, JaneStreet but that is very competitive with only people with the best results and from CS getting in. Many people also receive preplacement offers after internships. There are also many companies that visit for product management roles like Ola, Meesho etc. The placement process for Design students is separate. There are also core companies like Texas instruments, that visit.

I choose this course because I am interested in learning coding and I want to seek my future in this line. I am finding some difficulties in understanding the subjects and topics but I believe it is because I am new to this field and new to everything.
