I wanted to pursue aerospace engineering. However, my rank in JEE-ADV 2021 was not sufficient to fulfil the criteria of pursuing this course in IITS. Amity was in proximity of my house. As I had heard of university (mouth marketing), I thought I should settle for it dueto brand name and closeness to house.
Department of Aerospace Engineering has exclusively only 3 aerospace faculty members. Core aerospace subjects are handled by them. They all are superb. However, due to administrative reasons, department reasons, hands of faculties are tied. Faculties are made to engage in admin related tasks due to which their time in teaching is deviated. But I haven't seen, as brilliant faculties as them. They have helped me reach great heights. Helped me pursue internships in IITs. So faculty on a personal level is good. Syllabus has been restructured. New people will definitely have benefits. Exams are not that difficult if students study timely. Nothing out of box or difficult.
I've interned at IIT Bombay and IIT Kharagpur. Both were results of my hardwork and self application. Usually, you have to look for internships yourself and then manage everything. College will restrict your hands if done outside timeline of internships i.e sem break.
Placements does come here. Amity has policy of min 4.5 Lpa package for companies to come. However, aerospace has no placements due to lack of companies or else non-core engineering roles are offered. Hence, most have to opt for GATE, GRE, connections to secure job.
Amity provides scholarship upto hundred percent based on marks in 12th boards for first year. For renewal and continuation of such scholarships, depends on cgpa. To avail scholarships, you need to be among the top 5. There is no reservation and hence everyone has to pay the same fees. Need based scholarships are not available.
Social life at amity is worth living for. Fests, activities, clubs, sports, competitions go round and round the year. For social birds, they can blossom in this environment. AMINOVA, AMIVIGYAN, TECHNICIA are popular fests out here.
I haven't opted for hostel but have sneaked and also sought experiences from my friends. Hostel life is enjoyable. However restricitions of not going outside camus post 6 and not leaving hostel post 9 are not appreciable. Shivani Heritage, Urban Rainforest, Bhatan Gao, Aste Gao, Indiabulls are pgs and flats as alternates.

I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
Diffrent companies have different criteria, limited companies comes in campus such as bootcoding Pvt.Ltd , and some small companies arrived. Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.
The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .
There are the placements are done in the final year of college, You are eligible for the appear in the placements drive you have to score good scores in the semester exams. There are the lowest 3LPA and highest 6LPA packages are offered by the companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, BOAT, SBI , Ultra Tech, Mahindra, Capgemini etc. Students have to maintain their SGPA up to 8.0 CGPA.
engineering course curriculum is very old specially for university batch students my batch get admission in 2022 at that our college is not get autonomous status. passing semester exams is little hard in university compare to autonomous batch. faculties teachings methods are very old. And not practical learning provided.
there are lots of mnc company visted college every year, most of companies have there eligiblity criteria is 60% and above overall from 10th, the biggest tech companies like tcs, wipro, accenture, deloitte, infosys, the average package is around 3lpa, every year 50 to 70% students getting placed.
The placements are nice. Majorly Hafiz contractor firm take students. But a lot of firms do come fruit placement. Take interview and hire students. Last year a lot of students got placements based on their portfolios and skills And got salaries ranging from 2,50,000-6,00,000 Annually.
