- I just got a great group of connection of people and friends which is why I'm surviving here in my college.
- The hostel Life was great also for the people where we used to sit in the rooms and yap for hours
Dislikes
- College campus is way shorter and both the hostels should be coloured again.
- The canteen food should be improved, and the staff should be changed
Remarks :
I didn't face any group discussions or any interviews. But I had to give the university's own written test to get selected for the college. I got my admission based on the numbers, I got in my exams. Also, I choosed this college because it's near my friends hometown and we both can stay together in rent.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I personally choosed this course because it only has a course duration of 3 years. And I can graduate quickly. The course teaches us evrything related to computer coding and fundamentals and parts of basic Computer science engineering chapters . The faculties are highly qualified professionals who are mostly old and experienced. I personally don't remember each of their qualifications, but if exams are given and interviews were conducted before selecting new teachers.
Internships Opportunities :
No internships for the BCA students maybe. Coz we had to do our intership after paying, which was also not suggested by the college. We searched ourselves and did our internships, some online and some normal
Placement Experience :
Highest average package: 15LPA Average package: 6-7LPA Placements here the not that often, they come once a year and mostly the companies are either targeting only the BTech students because the other degrees are mostly ignored during the placements process
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Per Semester fees 30,000/- Year wise fees 80,000/- Admission fees 10,000/- Registration fees 5000/- Tution fees 8000/- No lab fees or development fees or any other kind of fees. The fees category for all the caste are same but the reserved categories like SC and ST gets 10,000/- back each semester.
Campus Life :
College life here is moderate with a yearly mid basic fest named EUPHISM. And the rest of the year mini fests are also conducted. Sports is truly underrated here. Faculties are not available for any sports and the gym is kind of trash. College has many clubs filled with students though. The attendance part just sucks when you have to go for a club activity but your HOD denied your attendance.
Hostel Facilities :
I was in hostel but I came out and rented a room for 4000/- per month. The hostel food quality is worse which is the only reason for my leaving. The registration process is easy because one can register directly or via online in the college website.

Good-moderate faculty but maintenance of every other thing is very much not on time The authority doesn’t seem to be concerned about the students and delays every work and at the last moment you will be running around .

Dream Campus, Not-So-Dream Jobs

There are teachers under which u can work and later they can surely help u land a intership, happened with one of my friend. But as of now department dont directly provide u internship. I dont wanna say vague or old numbers about average or highest placement data, so wont comment on it but overall its not that great but there are exceptions, like there are some brilliant minds who lands an enormous off campus placement.(My 2 seniors who r out of india right now) Last year Bharat electronics BHEL came and took 8 seniors for 13lpa package, some banking companies and TCs comes too. My plans after my degree is to get a job in electronic domain while also focusing on my photography and editing Passion Check my work on insta sodaa.edits
My life in B.Borooah College as a science student
Placement Experience :
Placements At B. Borooah College for a BSc Forget it. There's no placement scene like you hear about. No companies come for recruitment drives. The so-called placement cell just puts up notices for government job ads or maybe a local pharmacy needing a helper. I've never seen a single big name visit campus to hire BSc grads. So there's no list of recruiters, no number of offers, and definitely no talk of high packages. Zero students get placed from here in that way. The plan after the degree is everything. For me, it's going for an MSc. For others, it's preparing for government exams, doing B.Ed., or applying to labs and hospitals directly. This college gives you the valid degree, the ticket to sit for other exams or apply further. It doesn't get you a job. It makes you eligible to go find one yourself. Your future is 100% in your own hands after you walk out.

There are 100% internship in Bsc agriculture are also good the average packages 3 to 4 LPA the highest package is 12 LPA percentage of students getting placements are about 70 - 80% the eligibility criteria depends upon the performance of the student on its practical work and its CGPA

The ratio of placement and job is very poor, this is a college of general degree course, so after passing B.Sc., B.Sc. one does not get a job directly, in future one has to do Masters degree, PhD.But data from the last three/four year revealed that students did get jobs in SBI and some other organization, but the percentage was very low.That is why most of the students after completing normal graduation take admission in courses like Masters and BEd, Deled.And my plan in future is to do Masters from IIT or IISER, after that I want to do PhD.

Life as a BTech Student at IIT guwahati
Placement Experience :
there is a CPI criteria of around 6 to sit for placements. The highest packages for bachelors can go up to 1.5cr. Companies in coding include Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Ola, Uber, finance companies like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and many more. Highest paying companies are AlphaGrep, Quadeye, JaneStreet but that is very competitive with only people with the best results and from CS getting in. Many people also receive preplacement offers after internships. There are also many companies that visit for product management roles like Ola, Meesho etc. The placement process for Design students is separate. There are also core companies like Texas instruments, that visit.

I choose this course because I am interested in learning coding and I want to seek my future in this line. I am finding some difficulties in understanding the subjects and topics but I believe it is because I am new to this field and new to everything.
