YCCE is a good college if one is looking for a city level college which gives good exposure to person life and student life aswell. I am basically from Nagpur so I opted for it. There were no GP or PI during admission they acceptedy JEE and MHCET score.
So back in 2017, there was a boom for electronics and communication engineering because they can opt for both govt and private jobs as well so I did join for exposure for both sides. Talking about faculties and teaching staff, they were very skillful and knowledgeable. All the exams and tests were conducted regularly and the difficulty level of them were more than average.
I got internship from TCS and got selected as a system Engineer l, it was Remote and was is project based out of Japan, it was mostly automotive ADAS testing, I was a manual tester in which I use to validate vehicle models.
I got placed in TCS and my other friends also got placed in a good MNCs with good package, even core engineering students also got placed in core companies with good package. Average package went around 4 to 4.5 LPA.
YCCE is 3rd most valued college of Nagpur city. Back in 2017, It's free structure was 125000 for General category students plus 5000 exam fees per semester. OBC students were divided into 2 categories again, OBC-NC students use to pay 75000 else they also have to pay 125000. SC and ST students use to get the scholarship of 12000 per year and 125000 back into their account.
Campus Life was the best part of engineering. There were basically 2 major events happens at YCCE one is YASH that happens in mid February and then the departmental fest that happens in July or August. I was from ETC department so ICON was the heart of Our department. There were more groups and clubs for every event.
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
Diffrent companies have different criteria, limited companies comes in campus such as bootcoding Pvt.Ltd , and some small companies arrived. Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.
The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .
There are the placements are done in the final year of college, You are eligible for the appear in the placements drive you have to score good scores in the semester exams. There are the lowest 3LPA and highest 6LPA packages are offered by the companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, BOAT, SBI , Ultra Tech, Mahindra, Capgemini etc. Students have to maintain their SGPA up to 8.0 CGPA.
engineering course curriculum is very old specially for university batch students my batch get admission in 2022 at that our college is not get autonomous status. passing semester exams is little hard in university compare to autonomous batch. faculties teachings methods are very old. And not practical learning provided.
