Likes
- Faculty is amazing, they understand your problem and situation and are really helpful in any situation.
- Cultural and extracurricular exposure there are people from different regions of India and it is very fun and knowledgeable to interact with them. the networking opportunities is also incredible we get to learn so much it is fun and exciting
Dislikes
- Infrastructure: There is no proper classroom, benches are broken and the washrooms are really dirty . the library while extensive could benefit from a more user friend system and updated resources.
- There is no campus life and it just gets monotonous and its residential area as well. Even the pgs nearby are so expensive that at times students have to take pgs at far distance from college.
Remarks :
I chose my college for several reasons. Its strong academic reputation , experienced faculty played a significant role. The vibrant campus life and a solid alumni network further tipped the scales in its favour. And Kamla Nehru, being girls college was a cherry on top as because of safety reasons my parents felt safe to send me here. The area near my college also felt safe and the environment was also a bonus. Area of improvement: At times administrative processes could be more streamlined. There are times when students have to visit the administrative office thousands of times to get just one paper signed. Poor infrastructure: The washrooms are so dirty that one can’t even imagine, the benches are broken and the classes are so small that at times students have to stand outside the classroom and take the lectures There are huge gaps between classes and timings sucks at times there is 3-4 hrs of gap and students have to wait for just one lecture, which gets frustrating.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course because it aligns with my career goals, providing both theoretical foundations and practical applications. it is one of the reputed course offered by Delhi University, which has high cut off. The course structure encourages critcial thinking and application of the knowledge. It provides multiple opportunities for project work amd research keeping the learking experience both dynamic and engaging. The term exam is conducted after each sem. It is conducted in the month of December and May. The difficulty level of exam is high, while the question require solid grasp of the material they are designed to test both practical and conceptual knowledge.
Internships Opportunities :
There are many internships provided by the college but I haven’t applied as of now. Ill be applying in the third 3rd year. Currently I am preparing for competitive exams which require time and efforts. I am part of NGOS but not paid one. If one has the dedication one can surely get good placement and internship from the college . There are internships from lenskart, Fnp and many more. If one is part of the society one will get to interact and learn more with the networkings.
Placement Experience :
The eligibility criteria is one should score good cgpa and then they will be eligible to sit in the placement. The highest package offered is 12 LPA to economic hns student in 2024. There are various companies which have recruited students like Lenskart, Fnp,Zomato etc. the average pacakge is around 4-5 lakh and there is high chances of students getting off campus placement. I want to do CAT from top IIMS of India just after completion of my degree. I want to represent Kamla Nehru College at a high level maybe in World Trade Cemtre or something like that.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
I paid 12500 in 1st year I am in my second year and i have paid 13225 and next year Ill be paying 14200. the fees is increasing by the rate of 500 yearly and the college doesnt offer any scholarships. You can apply if you are single girl child. As far as ik for general category student the college doesnt offer any svipar while you can apply online through sites. For my batchmates the fees is around 14000.
Campus Life :
The campus life is moderate, like its pretty average . The annual fest of Kamla Nehru college is ULLAS which is conducted in the month of feb and march. This year amitprakash mishra came and there was sufi night as well. There is also diwali mela, winter carnival. Something or the other keeps on happening in college. It feels viberant and is fun, each department conducts its own fest. There are n numbers of societies run by students like placement cell, enactus, Nupur the classical dance society, lakhsay the theatre society , they keep on participating with other colleges and they also conduct competitions which is pretty fun and you get to interact with other colleges. There is NCC as well and on sports day there are events conducted by the students and teachers and they have winning prizes as well. Our library is of 3 floors with thousands of books and free wifi and computers in the library, you can access that with the library card. In classroom you have green board.
Hostel Facilities :
There is no hostel provided by the college. I have rented a room in GK-1, its spacious and I live in 2bhk with 3 other girls and its pretty fun and hectic at the same time. Cook comes and she cooks whatever we ask her to cook.

The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.

I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Doing masters in political science from Daulat Ram college
Placement Experience :
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.

The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!

du sol provides placement in news 18, aaj tak and job opportunities as according to the course of student pursuing. just visit to du sol north campus head quarter ask for the facility they will provide . bad thing is they dont provide on regular basis.

The placement cell is quite active. There are always placement and internship fairs every year and even other college students can join them. The placement recruiters are from top companies like Deloitte, KPMG, EY, etc. Although, not every one gets in these companies but then, there are other companies as well like Finshots, Voice Your Vichaar, etc. The average package is 3LPA and highest package is 8LPA.
