- I like all of it. I like the infrastructure, faculty, campus life evrything. Mostly i like the campus life because many programs and functions are held in our college fields
- Also i like the faculty they are very much experienced teacher and smart.
Remarks :
In earlier to take the admission in polytechnic cource we have to give a entrance exam name PAT but during my time the exam has not happen and our admission has taken according to our class 10th board exam percentage. First we have to choose our preference college according to that merit list has been declared and if our name came in the mrit list then we have selected for the course. Our college is the no. One polytechnic Institute in assam among all the polytechnic college in assam. Best faculty are present in our institute.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I have choose this course because i want to study engineering but i wouldn't clear the JEE exam. Though this course i can take lateral entry to B.tech. In our course after finishing it provides us a diploma which help us in getting the job of junior engineer. In our college there are many talented and experienced faculty from all over the assam. There teaching skills helps to understand the course easily
Internships Opportunities :
Till now i have not opted for any internship. Internship has been provided to was during the 5th and 6th semester. We have to go for the internship to different cities to do the internship. Our college only provide the internship. Not only our institute but every institute in assam provide the internship opportunity
Placement Experience :
Since i was in 2nd semester only i don't have so much idea about the placement but i know that from many big companies job opportunities and placement has been provided through our college. Many our senior have been working in the placement that have came
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fees structure is like semester wise i had taken the addmission on 2024 at rs 4700 it includes addmission and 1st semester fees . Now i am in 2nd semester and my fees is 1950 rs. The fees increases as well as decrease along with the semester. Our college also provide scholorship to the students. To take the scholorship there are some eligibilities if the student eligible of all the student can apply for the scholorship. The college also provide hostel for both boys and girls along with the warden.
Campus Life :
Our campus was enough big It has a field where many functions have been conducted. There was a auditorium where guests program has been conducted. Every year in the month of February Institute week was conducted where students can participate in games , cultural programs . Also it conducted All Assam Polytechnic Meet every year where students can go and participate in the program and can win and can bring the title of best polytechnic institute. There was a library where semester books as well as other books was provided to the students with no charges Through which the students don't need to buy the books. Our college also have their own website i.e. www.aei.com.
Hostel Facilities :
I have not taken hostel because i have not got seat on the hostel but our college provides hostels for both girls and boys. There will me merit list for the hostel seat. We have to make court affidavit to apply for the hostel

There are teachers under which u can work and later they can surely help u land a intership, happened with one of my friend. But as of now department dont directly provide u internship. I dont wanna say vague or old numbers about average or highest placement data, so wont comment on it but overall its not that great but there are exceptions, like there are some brilliant minds who lands an enormous off campus placement.(My 2 seniors who r out of india right now) Last year Bharat electronics BHEL came and took 8 seniors for 13lpa package, some banking companies and TCs comes too. My plans after my degree is to get a job in electronic domain while also focusing on my photography and editing Passion Check my work on insta sodaa.edits
My life in B.Borooah College as a science student
Placement Experience :
Placements At B. Borooah College for a BSc Forget it. There's no placement scene like you hear about. No companies come for recruitment drives. The so-called placement cell just puts up notices for government job ads or maybe a local pharmacy needing a helper. I've never seen a single big name visit campus to hire BSc grads. So there's no list of recruiters, no number of offers, and definitely no talk of high packages. Zero students get placed from here in that way. The plan after the degree is everything. For me, it's going for an MSc. For others, it's preparing for government exams, doing B.Ed., or applying to labs and hospitals directly. This college gives you the valid degree, the ticket to sit for other exams or apply further. It doesn't get you a job. It makes you eligible to go find one yourself. Your future is 100% in your own hands after you walk out.

There are 100% internship in Bsc agriculture are also good the average packages 3 to 4 LPA the highest package is 12 LPA percentage of students getting placements are about 70 - 80% the eligibility criteria depends upon the performance of the student on its practical work and its CGPA

The ratio of placement and job is very poor, this is a college of general degree course, so after passing B.Sc., B.Sc. one does not get a job directly, in future one has to do Masters degree, PhD.But data from the last three/four year revealed that students did get jobs in SBI and some other organization, but the percentage was very low.That is why most of the students after completing normal graduation take admission in courses like Masters and BEd, Deled.And my plan in future is to do Masters from IIT or IISER, after that I want to do PhD.

Life as a BTech Student at IIT guwahati
Placement Experience :
there is a CPI criteria of around 6 to sit for placements. The highest packages for bachelors can go up to 1.5cr. Companies in coding include Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Ola, Uber, finance companies like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and many more. Highest paying companies are AlphaGrep, Quadeye, JaneStreet but that is very competitive with only people with the best results and from CS getting in. Many people also receive preplacement offers after internships. There are also many companies that visit for product management roles like Ola, Meesho etc. The placement process for Design students is separate. There are also core companies like Texas instruments, that visit.

I choose this course because I am interested in learning coding and I want to seek my future in this line. I am finding some difficulties in understanding the subjects and topics but I believe it is because I am new to this field and new to everything.
