- Infrastructure: AEI is equipped with modern facilities, including computer labs with the latest hardware and software, a library with a vast collection of book and journals, sports facilities for both Indore and outdoor games and well maintained hostel with all facilities including 24 hrs electricity and water supply, high-speed internet connectivity, student security, medical facilities and mess facility that serves nutritious food to the students.
Remarks :
Top diploma institute in Assam. Provide the best knowledge and also provide placement. If anyone is interested in admission into this institute he should clear the PAT exam conducted by DTE, Assam. Every year PAT exam is held in June/July. Application forms open in April/May in online mode only. PAT exam is a 100-mark exam where Physics 30 marks Chemistry 30 marks and Mathematics 40 marks. If anyone is interested in this institute he should minimum mark required in the PAT exam 70+.
Course Curriculum Overview :
AEI provides a well-rounded education to students. The experienced professors and lecturers with extensive knowledge and modern teaching methods ensure that students grasp the concepts and develop practical skills. AEI covers a wide range of topics, including programming languages, databases, management, operating systems, computer networks, etc. The curriculum is designed to provide a strong foundation in CS while also enabling them to specialize in their areas of interest and monthly or weekly tests are conducted to test student's understanding and improvement. The exams include both theoretical and practical components and are conducted fairly and transparently.
Placement Experience :
AEI has a decent placement scenario with many students getting placed in reputed companies every year. The placement cell conducts various placement drives and skill enhancement programs to help students. Many reputed companies offer and hire students from the institute in the past like Oil India, IBM, TCS, etc. Offering a decent package of around 3-5 Lacs.
Campus Life :
My experience on campus is very good. Here about 1000 students from various states like Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Meghalaya, and Tripura. Every year conduct institute week in January. Our college has a big library. And in this library around 10000+ books are available. For extra curricular students can participate in All Poly Meet. Here participate all of the Polytechnic Institute of Assam.

There are teachers under which u can work and later they can surely help u land a intership, happened with one of my friend. But as of now department dont directly provide u internship. I dont wanna say vague or old numbers about average or highest placement data, so wont comment on it but overall its not that great but there are exceptions, like there are some brilliant minds who lands an enormous off campus placement.(My 2 seniors who r out of india right now) Last year Bharat electronics BHEL came and took 8 seniors for 13lpa package, some banking companies and TCs comes too. My life in B.Borooah College as a science student
Placement Experience :
Placements At B. Borooah College for a BSc Forget it. There's no placement scene like you hear about. No companies come for recruitment drives. The so-called placement cell just puts up notices for government job ads or maybe a local pharmacy needing a helper. I've never seen a single big name visit campus to hire BSc grads. So there's no list of recruiters, no number of offers, and definitely no talk of high packages. Zero students get placed from here in that way. The plan after the degree is everything. For me, it's going for an MSc. For others, it's preparing for government exams, doing B.Ed., or applying to labs and hospitals directly. This college gives you the valid degree, the ticket to sit for other exams or apply further. It doesn't get you a job. It makes you eligible to go find one yourself. Your future is 100% in your own hands after you walk out.

The ratio of placement and job is very poor, this is a college of general degree course, so after passing B.Sc., B.Sc. one does not get a job directly, in future one has to do Masters degree, PhD.But data from the last three/four year revealed that students did get jobs in SBI and some other organization, but the percentage was very low.That is why most of the students after completing normal graduation take admission in courses like Masters and BEd, Deled.And my plan in future is to do Masters from IIT or IISER, after that I want to do PhD.

Life as a BTech Student at IIT guwahati
Placement Experience :
there is a CPI criteria of around 6 to sit for placements. The highest packages for bachelors can go up to 1.5cr. Companies in coding include Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Ola, Uber, finance companies like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and many more. Highest paying companies are AlphaGrep, Quadeye, JaneStreet but that is very competitive with only people with the best results and from CS getting in. Many people also receive preplacement offers after internships. There are also many companies that visit for product management roles like Ola, Meesho etc. The placement process for Design students is separate. There are also core companies like Texas instruments, that visit.
