The affordability of the course was one of the reasons I chose it, the only exam necessary to enroll in any foreign language BA program in JNU is CUET, no other group discussions, interviews or written tests are conducted for the admission.
All of the professors teaching in the courses are phd holders/or a PhD scholar, providing lots of support and quality education. The exam pattern in these courses are as following : 2 sessional exams are conducted before the end semester exam, when the sessional will be conducted depends on the professor, but both of the sessionals are to be conducted 1 month prior to the end semester exam dates set by the centre, the grade of whichever sessional you did better in will be considered to combine with your end semester grade. The difficulty level of the exams is moderate if you study and revise the material provided by the professors.
Tution fee for each semester is rs. 108, that adds upto rs. 864 for the whole program of 4 years. There is no extra registration fees for enrolling in the next semester, if you are a hostel resident, you will have to clear any fees due in the hostel before being able to register for the next semester.
There are always some events being conducted in the JNU Campus, Be it fests, cultural fests or workshops. It's hard not to find the books you are looking for in the library, although sometimes there can be scarcity of books depending on the requests of the students for their availability. Regarding sports and extracurricular activities, you can always find some sports events going on in the JNU Stadium, the campus is no doubt the best place for someone interested in sports and games, there are various clubs conducting tournaments, whether it be centre specific or all over university. Clubs like Drama Club, Dance Club, Music Club, Debate club and many others are also available on the Campus and the students running them are friendly enough to welcome new members without any restrictions.
You can apply for hostel while registering for JNU on the website. After enrolling in the course on the campus you have to visit the DOS/IHA office to get your allotment where you will get alloted to a dormitory on temporary basis, where 6 people live in a room after a few months, you will be alloted to a hostel with 2 person per room. Every hostel has its own mess in the hostel building itself.
IGNOU offers limited direct campus placement opportunities, but the degree is widely recognized and helps improve employability. Students mainly secure jobs through off-campus applications, competitive exams, or by upgrading their skills. The flexible learning system allows learners to work, prepare for higher studies, or pursue professional certifications alongside their course. IGNOU also conducts periodic placement drives through its Campus Placement Cell.
The internship opportunities are mainly available for the commerce departments and many companies also come to offer internships here. For humanities departments to internships comes mainly from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and home ministry.
The placement cell is active. Companies like Agile Capital Services, Chegg, and Wipro visit. Eligibility requires 60%+ marks. Highest CTC offered is around 8 LPA and Average package is 4.5 LPA. Around 40-50% students get placed, while science graduates prefer higher studies (M.Sc / B.Ed). My plan is pursuing higher education and managing my student e-portfolio platform.
Placement at PGDAV college are average students who have good communication skills internships and extra certification usually gets better opportunities the placement cell is active and organise placement drives , workshops , resume building session and career building guidance student should not have any active backlog
PLACEMENT FOR BBA ARE AVERAGE WITH COMPANIES OFFERING ROLE IN SALES, MAREKTING, HR AND OPERATION. AVERAGE PACKAGE IS AROUND 3 TO 4 LAKH PER YEAR MANY STUDENTS ALSO PURSUE HIGHER STUDIES LIKE MBA TO IMPROVE THEIR CARRER OPPORTUNITIES.
The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.
I am as of in starting of 3rd year. The internship options are quiet really well. They give you many companies to apply in. .
I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
