After having a discussion on what subject and which college to choose from school teachers, relatives, friends, seniors and having a little research about college from online sources, google, you tube, etc, I came to a conclusion that Miranda House has the best faculties of Geography, the course I want to apply for. And that helped me to keep this college on my first preference. Miranda House is the topmost college of Delhi University. Being a top college, it's everyone dream college. The faculties are so good. They act like friends more than the teachers. They are very supportive and in the times of practical or viva, they will help you the most. They will guide you and tell you the best you can do in your life. The admission process is through CUET only and the cut offs may vary as per the number of students giving exams. Because miranda house is number 1 college, due to its demands and tough competition among students, the cut offs are generally higher than other colleges.
I preferred Geography as it has a practical subject which I find very interesting and it's quite factual subject, a bit scientific subject like the physical geography is related with so many scientific theories. And in this subject, you don't have to fill so many pages for answer writing in exams, if you're covering all the contents in only two or three pages, you'll be given as much marks as answers of 5 or 6 pages. You don't have to do rote learning in this subject, just understand all the processes and terms. And the faculties of Geography department of my college are so experienced. They have knowledge of other subjects too. They teach us geography by relating it with other disciplines too which makes the subject even more interesting. The faculties have done lots of reseach and have expertise in their subjects. The questions in the exams are based on the syllabus designed by the university only. You should have a look on pyqs and ask the professor the important questions.
Because the course has practical subjects, it's fee is a bit higher it is only 17500 than other subjects of social science like history or pol science. However, there are numerous scholarships available in the college of Delhi University.
The campus life is pretty good and exciting. There are so many societies and clubs in the college as delhi university is known for its societies and exposure among other universities. There are college fests, department fests, inter college competition, and other competitions being organised at the college level. The fest season starts around the month of February and ends by the end semester exam. Each department held its own annual fest also in which seminars and competitions are being organised which gives you exposure. For example, my departure organises a case competition or paper presentation which helps you a lot in building confidence and also in your further reseach. Sports competition are organised by the physical department. And students themselves also run society and organise competitions in collaborations too.

The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.
I am as of in starting of 3rd year. The internship options are quiet really well. They give you many companies to apply in. .
I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac.
