Life in IIT Bombay
Remarks :
IIT Bombay is one of the best college in India and also I was interested in more technical fields hence I chosed aerospace. No I did not faced any kind of group discussion and I had to give JEE advanced for admission.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum is nearly common for all the student in 1st Year, with only 2 department specific courses. The rest of the courses are hasmed(I chose psychology and design) , CS101, linear algebra and differential equation, physics lab. We also had biology last semester. Faculty is also very good and knowledgeable and always happy to help.
Internships Opportunities :
No, I have not availed for any internship as it starts after the second year itself. But I have an idea about internship. It is hard to get one in aerospace core, but you can have internship from software/IT companies.
Placement Experience :
The placements in the core sector is very low. But you always have opportunities in non core sector. The highest core sector placement I know of the last year was 46lpa. But the median was 23 lpa. 86% of the batch was placed and others opted for higher studies. So there is no problem in getting placed.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
200000 is the tuition fee, 3900 is medical fee, 4400 is examination fee, 4400 is gymkhana fee, 1400 is SBF, 600 is student accident insurance, 45000 is mess fee and 27,800 is hostel fees. There are scholarships based on category (SC/ST) and family income but I avail neither.
Campus Life :
So campus life is full of events. You either have an exam or an event. You will never feel bored in the college. And the more you participate in such kind of events the more friends you make. Aldo there are various clubs and tech team. I personally am in a tech team which makes drones and vtol. It's infrastructure is up to date and we easily get what we require.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel rooms are very good and spacious. There is good ventilation in the room. And you also get amenities like washing machine, dryer, RO on every floor. The mess food is also eatable. The menu is good. Lunch and dinner are not always good but breakfast and snacks are good.

Placement Experience :
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
Reality of niat

no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.

The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
Average college provide average facilities

Diffrent companies have different criteria, limited companies comes in campus such as bootcoding Pvt.Ltd , and some small companies arrived. Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.

Course Curriculum Overview :
The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .
Affordable college for the middle class students.
Placement Experience :
There are the placements are done in the final year of college, You are eligible for the appear in the placements drive you have to score good scores in the semester exams. There are the lowest 3LPA and highest 6LPA packages are offered by the companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, BOAT, SBI , Ultra Tech, Mahindra, Capgemini etc. Students have to maintain their SGPA up to 8.0 CGPA.

engineering course curriculum is very old specially for university batch students my batch get admission in 2022 at that our college is not get autonomous status. passing semester exams is little hard in university compare to autonomous batch. faculties teachings methods are very old. And not practical learning provided.

there are lots of mnc company visted college every year, most of companies have there eligiblity criteria is 60% and above overall from 10th, the biggest tech companies like tcs, wipro, accenture, deloitte, infosys, the average package is around 3lpa, every year 50 to 70% students getting placed.

The placements are nice. Majorly Hafiz contractor firm take students. But a lot of firms do come fruit placement. Take interview and hire students. Last year a lot of students got placements based on their portfolios and skills And got salaries ranging from 2,50,000-6,00,000 Annually.
