- The faculty teaches us in manner that we can understand the subject. And can apply to our practical life.
- The friends are more encouraging to our interest and skills and we can achieve anything with them.
Dislikes
- As the campus is old the infrastructure is not that much updated. Compared to other IIT's .
- Like in clubs the recruitment is based on the skill which we have already perfect in but as a fresher we can't join in the club.
Remarks :
We should appear for jee advance examination and clear the cut-off marks in each subject. The admission process is in online mode through jossa and it is a easy process . Main the choosing of this college and this branch is fully based on my rank scored in examination. For this branch in this college the obc rank cut-off would approximately 5700. And general rank would be 19500. It is tough exam because we should clear all subjects cut-off of marks.
Course Curriculum Overview :
It is totally based on my rank which I secured in jee advance exam . The academics are upto date and the faculty will teach us in practical manner .The labs will give us more knowledge about the subject. Exams were connected twice for a semester like mid and end . The difficulty level is medium to hard based on the professor interest. But the subject we gained here is useful for us in many ways and in many situations in our working environment.
Internships Opportunities :
For mining the internships are relatively less maximum there are no companies are interested to give internships. But we have field training without stipend. But we can gain field experience in that which was useful for job purpose. This training has also weightage in cv like internships.
Placement Experience :
The eligibility criteria is the student must maintain cgpa above 7.5 . The companies offered are like accenture, torrent power, Gujarat mineral development corporation, Special blast limited energy etc.. The package offered is approximately 12 to 15 lpa . The percentage of students getting placements are 60 to 80 % . But nowadays it is increasing. My plan is also get a job in SBL energy . The highest package is 40lpa.the average package is 12lpa.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The annual tution fees is about 200000 , mess fees is 38000, all combined fees would be approximately 260000. This for general category whose family income is above 800000. For family income below 1 lakh has full fees wave and has to pay only the mess fees . For family income in between 1 to 5 lakhs has to pay 1/3 of tuition fees and mess fees. For sc and st category full tuition fees is free and has to pay only mess fees. There are scholarships like mcm , nsp the eligibility for this are family income below 1 lakh and student cgpa.
Campus Life :
There are four fests conducted annually like connecto a technical fest in October. Khanan a mining fest in October. Srijan a cultural fest in January ending . Parakarm a sport fest in March. There are vast variety of books and journals in the library. Our library is the 2 biggest library among others. We take issue of books also. There are different types of sports and we have competition among the IIT 's also. There are many different clubs based on our interest like dancing, sining, drawing etc.
Hostel Facilities :
Everyone must stay inside the campus the hostel is fees is affordable it charges minimum charge per day 127/- only. The rooms are nice but it is a old campus we can't except that much high range room facility like other IIT's but it was pretty good. Registration for rooms in hostel is done by the dsw of the campus it is done on the basis of admission number alloted to the students. The mess quality is sometimes bad but sometimes okay. The infrastructure is basic like tables and chairs and staff for serving food.

Placements are the main reason people come here. For Electrical, big players like Tata Steel, JSW, and Vedanta are regulars. The average package stays around ?7–8 LPA, while the highest can go up to ?15–20 LPA for core branches. You become eligible for placements from the 7th semester. I’m planning to sit for GATE as well, as many seniors here aim for PSUs. For internships, the college helps with vocational training in places like DVC or HURL, though paid internships are something you usually have to hunt for yourself on LinkedIn.
Average University in Jamshedpur in low fee

You have to at least maintain 7CGA for sitting in placement season company like Wipro Infosys come here placement season. Average package of BBA is 4.5 lakhs. Almost 80% Student are placed through campus placement. My plan after getting degree pursuing MBA
My Dream College
Placement Experience :
College give only about 30% placement and there is very few companies or hospitals which are visited to the college for the employees. You have to do it with yourself when you are go to the internship. The highest and average package as I see is about 30,000 per month and maximum to 50,000 per month And I saw that student who top is maximum getting chance for the placement which is rare .
Netaji Subhas University is best for engineering in low fee and for who is already doing job

You have to not active backlog in any subject. 8+ cgpa perefer first then below 8+. Eternal achievers, infinite solution, paul tech like local jamshedpur it company visit for placement. 80% students placed from our university. I will look for higher education.

I don't have any specific information about placements because I am still studying, but some seniors have got jobs which tells me that everything is fine. There are some seniors who work in Tata Motors and DRDO with good payments.

The intern is provided for training in nearby schools in 3rd semester. It is unpaid internship basically done under the curriculum.It is compulsory for the students to complete this teacher's training to get the B.ed degree. There is no such placement opportunities You have to go off campus to get placed in any school.

There is no campus placement in this college, so we have to plan our own jobs or internships after completing the course. Eligibility criteria for jobs depends on companies, mostly they ask for basic knowledge and skills related to the course. Some students do internships on their own in local companies or online. Since there is no official placement, there are no recruiters, packages or offers from college. Around 0% students get placement from college itself. My plan after degree is to prepare for government jobs and also apply for some private jobs related to my field. Overall, college is good for learning, but for placements you have to work on your own

"Placements in my college are slowly improving but still not at the level of top engineering colleges. Some companies visit every year but the number of offers is limited. Students who have good skills and prepare on their own get opportunities easily. The eligibility for sitting in placements is usually 6.0 CGPA and no major backlogs. Recruiters like small IT companies, training firms and a few core-related companies have visited. The highest package was around 6–7 LPA and the average stays near 3 LPA depending on the branch. Around 25–35% students get placed from campus and others go for off-campus drives. Internships are mostly arranged by students themselves through online platforms. After completing my degree, I plan to prepare for off-campus jobs and also improve my technical skills to get a better job in company or in government job
Expensive college with mediocre placements
Placement Experience :
Placements are mediocre in my branch ece. Last year 60-70 percent students are placed. Average package is 13lpa approx and highest in my branch was 58lpa. Core companies like NXP come for placement. Tech companies like foipkart, meesho, visa, goldman sachs come for placement.
