Ruia was my dream college as it was a cultural college having multiple fests and group leading opportunities plus many aspects of greater connections . Ruia has many departments but thr microbiology one is definitely a score as it is funded by RUSA grant.
I chose this course as my cousin sister also did and ruia offered this particular course having a tough competition. When speaking with an alumni of this college he mentioned that Microbiology from ruia is as equal to an engineering degree from an IIT college . The faculty is mid but the opportunities and the exposure u get is tremendous and very very helpful in many aspects such as character building and many more .
I have opted for many internships which definitely gave me many much exposures towards my field of aspect. They gave me a fully paid internship for a research program of a 2-4 week and also there was a fellowship including a stipend
Ruia provides many placement and internship during your particular course durations and has many opportunities of building a career. They throughout their students course years provide many internship , fellowship and SIRPs which give you multiple progress opportunities.
In this type of bsc program you pay a yearly tuition fee of 15 thousand. There is no semester wise installment of the fees available although the caste alloted students have to pay less fees accordingly to their particular caste allocation.
Campus life at Ruia is beyond explaining, it's everything for some but too much for some but one thing about this college is that it accepts all , everyone finds their kinda people here . There are many social groups having there interviews at the start of every new academic year , and no matter what you always end up with your kinda peoples .
Nope, i have not opted for any hostel i travrl daily 2 hrs but many people have and they find it a little expensive since ruia is in the centre of mumbai . There are hostels and pgs for girls as well as boys .
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
Diffrent companies have different criteria, limited companies comes in campus such as bootcoding Pvt.Ltd , and some small companies arrived. Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.
The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .
