Infrastructure and Faculties: Ruia provides excellent infrastructure and facilities, such as smart classrooms, seminar halls, labs, libraries, and canteens. These faculties enhance the overall learning experience and provide a comfortable environment for students to study and socialize. The college admission process was fairly simple. The staff guided us along the way and I opted for offline admissions so there was no cut-off as mentioned.
The reason I decided to go with Chemistry as my core subject was I was a bit inclined towards the subject and always found it interesting. The faculty here is very well qualified with almost every professor being a doctorate or at least a postgraduate. The teaching methodologies used in Ruia are one of the best. The faculty's round-the-clock student assistance is also an added benefit. The term exams are every 5 months and in my opinion the difficulty of the examination is moderate. An average student with an adequate amount of study can easily succeed in the examination. There are scholarships provided by the college but as of now I don't have any knowledge of the schemes.
There is a fairly good amount of placement opportunity provided by our college and I am not that well aware of all the recruiters yet but many government agencies recruit students from Ruia college and there are chemical companies too coming for our placement opportunities.
The campus of our college is fairly small but is filled with adventures and a series of cultural events. We have our Utsav which is our annual fest conducted in Nov - Dec. We have TiltShift which is one of the biggest media fest in Mumbai. Our college is situated in the heart of Mumbai in Dadar so accessibility to everything is easy. Public transport is easily available. Our library has monthly subscriptions to some very well-renowned scientific research journals and magazines which are made available to students at a fraction of an amount. The classroom is well equipped with good benches and adequate ventilation while some classrooms coming air conditioning round the clock. There is a boxing ring, basket ball court, and badminton court which is accessible to students free of cost. There's a shooting range equipped with Olympic-level gear and equipment which is available to students at a small fee. The drama and theater club of Ruia called Natyavaley is very well known.
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
