Good reviews overall, Good location and faculty, the staff is supportive and you get decent placement opportunities. Their training and placement program also helps in developing the required skills for placements.
I preferred ECE because of the wider scope I'd have while looking for jobs. I could apply for both electronics field and IT field jobs. The faculty is highly qualified and experienced, their teaching methods are effective as well as they're always present for supporting students in every way possible. We had mid semester exams every 2 months and the difficulty level used to be moderate... getting us prepared for the end sem exams
The college provides in-house training for final semester students, or else you can apply for internship elsewhere and get a NOC from the college, if you haven't got placed and your training hasn't started yet.
Most of the students get placed... either in core or marketing companies, as per their willingness. Tho there's a fair amount of competition and there's been a decrease in the number of placement offers lately due to recession. But it's fair enough otherwise you may consider going for higher studies.
Our fees was 45000 per semester for odd semester and 47000 for even semester. Taking up the overall fees upto 3,68,000 approx. You can avail certain scholarships if you take admission through the official PTU counselling exam Note: The fee structure has been revised and the current fee is higher (approx 65000 per semester)
The parivartan fest is the most hyped and anticipated program in the college. It's organised every year in November. Other than that there's many other programs that take place in the college occassionally. Like concerts and movie promotion events, festival celebrations and much more
Opted for hostel in the first year. The food quality is okayish and there's a fine variety of food provided. The hostel also has gym and library area and the rooms are connected to centralized air conditioning so there's no issue whatsoever even in summer. There's also laundry service available and a number of food outlets in the campus. The fee has slightly increased now... it's around 65000 per 6 months (for new boys hostel).
if you are above 6.0 cgpa and no reappears and backlogs your are eligible for 70 % of companies. recently TCS,AMAZON,COGNIZANT also came for placement highest is 51LPA,6LPA avg. 80% of each batch is placed.
To apply for placements in LPU you need to have 6+cgpa mostly. there no company as i know that went without recruiting any student. the highest was on campus was 51.03lakhs Microsoft and average was 5-6 lakhs. the students around 85 %will be placed .my plan was to do a decent job in any MNC.
Placement at CGC landran is decent around 70 to 80% student got placed based on your skills. The eligibility criteria usually includes minimum 60% marks with no active backlogs. Top recruiter companies includes TCS, Wipro, Infosys and Capgemini. The average package is around 3-4 lpa while highest package can go up to 10 to 12 lpa. Multiple offers are made every year across different domain.
I haven't done any intenship yet but Yes, internships are available at Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Mohali. Companies include TCS, Infosys, startups. Roles: Web Dev, QA, Data Analyst. Stipend ?5k–15k. Tasks include coding, testing, and project work.
The eligibility for placement is no backlog or reappear and CGPA IS above is 6 and fresher they get placement for 6thsem based on the skills and knowledge of the student and they provide a salary of 3 to 12 lakhs per/ year and recently SPICEJET company give around 8 lakhs CTC for 5 to 8 students and my plans after competing the degree is to do higher education in design modeling.
As the course is designed for pharmaceutical industry so the companies like mankind, sunpharma, macloid, overseas etc. Are top recruiters. The average package is 3-3.5 lakh per annum and highest goes upto 4lpa. As after masters most of the students goes for higher studies and teaching so the placement rate is low.
Overall Placement rate is about 60 to 70 percent for every branches . Recruiters provided descent opportunites to the students. Above 7 CGPA students get eligible. Some recruiter are Infosys, TCS, wipro, Siemens etc
College doesn't keep any eligibility criteria for placement it depends on the company which came for recruitment and yea if you had scored around 8+ cgpa you are eligible for every company Regularly company which come for recruiting students are infosys, tcs ,jsw , cognizant, Capgemini,L&T,tata steel etc Average package is 4LPA and highest package is around 55 LPA Around 75-80 percent students get placed in the college Some of the branches like instrumentation and control engineering and mechanical engineering have around 98-100% placement in the previous year
Since the college comes under an institution it opens the gate for various company and even those which just require a graduation degree instead of a specific field. Cadila Lupin etc visits every year. Good 60 to 70 students gets placed.
The placement are good but there are a lot of criterias for the placement and the college faculties force us to take the placement in the development roles to show that the college has 100% placement. There are less companies for the consultancy or data based jobs. The college doesn't provide any on campus intership. They provide intership in the college Startups and they pay very very less and they exploit the interns as lot. I got only 500 rupees for doing 1 month internship and working 6 hours a week.
