- The college does not host any star-nights alongside their annual fest.
- Students face issues parking their cars as student parking only allows two-wheelers
Remarks :
I had to write an exam of CUET with 4 subjects to get into this college and I secured 575 marks to get admitted to this college, I had even more preferences but I landed here because all those colleges had even higher cut-offs. It didn't require to have any GD/PI sort of things to enter this college and overall the college has decent infrastructure with a lot of networking opportunities since it hosts over 7000 students in a single session. I prepared for CUET through YouTube videos and just my 12th standard knowledge.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I found maths to be challenging since I was a child and to overcome that fear I chose to opt for it and it was really a good decision as the faculty was really cooperative they helped students transition from their school to college, even solved doubts which were different from their curriculum and helped a lot. The teachers are very qualified, many of them have completed their doctorate and some are in the process of completing their doctorate. The teaching methods vary teacher to teacher but still they have very relevant teaching methods especially those who teach SEC or VAC subjects. The term exams are conducted as per university guidelines and I personally feel, they are conducted very late.
Internships Opportunities :
I have not opted for any internship in my college, however there are various internship opportunities provided by the placement cell but they don't prove to be good enough as they don't provide optimum stipend or better profiles.
Placement Experience :
The placements require aound 7 CGPA to qualify. Around 105+ companies visited the campus last year with some well-known names such as KPMG, EY, Zomato, etc. Around 250+ offers were made and 200 students got placed with the highest package of 23.5 lakhs and median package being 5 lakhs and average being 7 lakhs. The placement cell of Dyal Singh College has failed to place students and they have not improved since years while the college provides their full support to the placement committee. I plan to get placed using third-party websites after my graduation.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
You will have to pay the fees once every year, that is 13,500 rupees per year for the B.Sc.(H) Mathematics course in Dyal Singh College as per 2024-2025 session and it has increased by 1000 rupees from the previous 2023-2024 session. We only get a confirmation slip after the payment so we don't know the exact structure of what's going where and also there is some relaxation for SC, ST and OBCs that is 1000 rupees and the EWS gets more benefits than 1000 rupees. Also the college announces scholarships based on your merit and economic background at the beginning of every year. The scholarship gives the student an 80 percent return of their fees as per the merit obtained in a test.
Campus Life :
Life at DSC campus depends upon your ownself and your openness, I feel this is the best place to network, make new friends and explore. The student strength is massive, this means you have a lot of networking opportunities. There are various clubs and societies which excel in their own domains like there is a travel society too which is found nowhere else in the Delhi University, all these societies conduct fests as per their suitability and also there is an annual fest held by the college every year. The library is well-maintained and has a lot of books ranging from academics to literature to self-help. The classrooms does not have a lot of facilities but some of them are well-maintained while the others feel like trash. There are no ACs, some classes have projectors which do not work, some of them have deformed desks and there is somewhat lack of infrastructure. There are a lot of sports played in the campus ranging from outdoor to indoor games, also there is a society for eSports.
Hostel Facilities :
There is no facility for hostel accomodation available in the college but there is a canteen in the college campus and the food quality is just average but it is fine with respect to the price charged, also the infrastructure of the canteen is good as per my observation. I have not rented a room near the college as I am from Delhi itself but other students generally reside nearby in Jangpura, SouthEx or Kotla and the locality is just amazing although the rent charged is high but the since it is South Delhi, it is somewhat normal comparatively and justifies the price.

The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.

I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Doing masters in political science from Daulat Ram college
Placement Experience :
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.

The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!

du sol provides placement in news 18, aaj tak and job opportunities as according to the course of student pursuing. just visit to du sol north campus head quarter ask for the facility they will provide . bad thing is they dont provide on regular basis.

The placement recruiters are from top companies like Deloitte, KPMG, EY, etc. Although, not every one gets in these companies but then, there are other companies as well like Finshots, Voice Your Vichaar, etc. The average package is 3LPA and highest package is 8LPA.
