Connectivity to this college was amazing, it is just near one of the metro gates of paschim vihar (east). For admission, I went through the GGSIPU's counselling process which was done on the basis of JEE rank, cutoff for Btech in IT was around 210k.
Course Curriculum is same for all of the colleges under IPU, first year you have to study Applied Science, and from next year you can go to your respective departments. Academics to be honest I feel is quite hectic, as there are 2 midsems and hundreds of assignments, you have to go to the rattafication method there's no other way. Faculties is mixed some are helpful, some are neutral and some are in their own world.
1st year- 197000 2nd year- 164000 3rd year- 152000 4th year- 144000 (These are approximate figures as I don't remember the fees as it is right now) The fees decreases over year and honestly there are so many scholarship opportunities for the needy ones that you wont have a hard time if you are from a Lower Class background.
Life at campus is kinda good. The campus size is not that big but we got every kind of clubs that a college should have. For eg. Enactus, MLSAC, DSC etc. Currently BVEST is gonna get conducted it is a tech fest. Library is amazing too though they don't give books to first semester students. We got NCC in here (for boys only).
IGNOU offers limited direct campus placement opportunities, but the degree is widely recognized and helps improve employability. Students mainly secure jobs through off-campus applications, competitive exams, or by upgrading their skills. The flexible learning system allows learners to work, prepare for higher studies, or pursue professional certifications alongside their course. IGNOU also conducts periodic placement drives through its Campus Placement Cell.
The internship opportunities are mainly available for the commerce departments and many companies also come to offer internships here. For humanities departments to internships comes mainly from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and home ministry.
The placement cell is active. Companies like Agile Capital Services, Chegg, and Wipro visit. Eligibility requires 60%+ marks. Highest CTC offered is around 8 LPA and Average package is 4.5 LPA. Around 40-50% students get placed, while science graduates prefer higher studies (M.Sc / B.Ed). My plan is pursuing higher education and managing my student e-portfolio platform.
Placement at PGDAV college are average students who have good communication skills internships and extra certification usually gets better opportunities the placement cell is active and organise placement drives , workshops , resume building session and career building guidance student should not have any active backlog
PLACEMENT FOR BBA ARE AVERAGE WITH COMPANIES OFFERING ROLE IN SALES, MAREKTING, HR AND OPERATION. AVERAGE PACKAGE IS AROUND 3 TO 4 LAKH PER YEAR MANY STUDENTS ALSO PURSUE HIGHER STUDIES LIKE MBA TO IMPROVE THEIR CARRER OPPORTUNITIES.
The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.
I am as of in starting of 3rd year. The internship options are quiet really well. They give you many companies to apply in. .
I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
