Since you do not get to choose the college in Delhi University you are allotted a college on the basis of your CUET score , I got alloted Dyal singh college the cut off for general were ranging in 700-720 covering plain and honours. The campus is good and decent size. What I feel is the attendance isn't an issue here because of which few people take interest in regularly attending classes and therefore few people come which is kinda boring for people who came from different states as we are looking forward for socialising and meeting new people making new friends become difficult in such situations. Also the college timetable is not properly scheduled , only 3 day in a week classes takes place properly so you are completely free on the alternate days which is very boring in long term as you will have to stay at PG/home.
Since I want to persue MBA I chose B.com for my undergrad. Although the qualifications of facult is of course top notch as it's the best university in India. Though the teaching is well but it depends heavily on professors too. I can't generalise all the professors. All the exams are vonducted timely and the level is quite basic. You don't have to be genius for you to score well in the exams , a little preparation can score you well enough. The cost of studying here is very low so almost everyone of you reading this can afford it. Although scholarship are there but they are bary of 100-200 rupee per month which basically doesn't even help the most poorest one.
Though their is placement cell in the college , but I didn't join it and I haven't done any internships as of yet. But you can probably join placement cell and improve your skills and increase your connection and get a internship
Placements are decent here. If your decision depends on placement then Dyal singh may not be for you. Although placement take place only very few people who has done internships and all get decent amount of placement otherwise placements are not so good
Dyal singh definitely has a good campus compared to other south campus college. As the campus is pretty big. It does not have any hostel so you will have to find accommodation outside of your college. Library is pretty good though I have not keenly investigated it. Classes too are pretty big and decent for government college. Extracurricular activities are also present but not abundant enough. The canteen is good and the food too is cheap and good in taste. It has various societies that works regularly and are active too. And as for the fest dyal singh fest is not something to be excited about in my opinion. I stay in PG , in South Delhi. The PG availability is very nice here ranging from as low as 6000-7000 to 20,000-25,000.
IGNOU offers limited direct campus placement opportunities, but the degree is widely recognized and helps improve employability. Students mainly secure jobs through off-campus applications, competitive exams, or by upgrading their skills. The flexible learning system allows learners to work, prepare for higher studies, or pursue professional certifications alongside their course. IGNOU also conducts periodic placement drives through its Campus Placement Cell.
The internship opportunities are mainly available for the commerce departments and many companies also come to offer internships here. For humanities departments to internships comes mainly from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and home ministry.
The placement cell is active. Companies like Agile Capital Services, Chegg, and Wipro visit. Eligibility requires 60%+ marks. Highest CTC offered is around 8 LPA and Average package is 4.5 LPA. Around 40-50% students get placed, while science graduates prefer higher studies (M.Sc / B.Ed). My plan is pursuing higher education and managing my student e-portfolio platform.
Placement at PGDAV college are average students who have good communication skills internships and extra certification usually gets better opportunities the placement cell is active and organise placement drives , workshops , resume building session and career building guidance student should not have any active backlog
PLACEMENT FOR BBA ARE AVERAGE WITH COMPANIES OFFERING ROLE IN SALES, MAREKTING, HR AND OPERATION. AVERAGE PACKAGE IS AROUND 3 TO 4 LAKH PER YEAR MANY STUDENTS ALSO PURSUE HIGHER STUDIES LIKE MBA TO IMPROVE THEIR CARRER OPPORTUNITIES.
The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.
I am as of in starting of 3rd year. The internship options are quiet really well. They give you many companies to apply in. .
I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
