When I was admitted to DU, admission was based on cutoff marks. However, now admission is done through a competitive entrance examination, where you need to score around 750 out of 800 to be easily selected in our college. Our college has many merits as it offers the best crowd in DU and does not have any reservation for SC, ST, and OBC. However, 50 percent of seats are reserved for Sikh minority students, which can be a demerit for some students. Moreover, our college is an off-campus college, but it is rated as the best off-campus college in DU.
The most promising career path for a commerce student after graduation is pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce (Honors) degree. That's why I chose it. The professors at our college are highly knowledgeable and come from a mix of young and old teachers. Their teaching approaches vary from one teacher to another. We have exams every six months conducted by the university, and we also have an internal assessment examination after the mid-term break in every semester. The college has a no-fees-hike policy, and they offer scholarships to students whose family income is below a certain amount.
No, I didn't opt for an internship, but our college holds an annual internship fair where numerous companies come to recruit students, providing them with valuable work experience. Additionally, we have a winter internship fair during our winter break.
Our placement cell works hard to provide us with opportunities to become employees of big companies. To be eligible, you must be in your third year of studies. The specific requirements vary by company. Recently, Deloitte hired 50 students with a package of 7 lakhs. Currently,Bane offering a package of 22 lakhs, and around 50 percent of students have already been hired. After completing my degree, I plan to continue working with Bane.
Life at our campus is quite relaxing. We host an annual fest in the month of March called EMINENCE. The best part of our college is our library which uses a digital process for the issuance of books. Our library provides us with 72000 books. Our classrooms are fully air-conditioned. For sports, we have a special society that organizes a sports week every year for all students. Additionally, they offer many facilities for games. Our college has the second-highest number of societies in DU and is rated as the best in DU. Our college offers hostel facilities to girl students only.
IGNOU offers limited direct campus placement opportunities, but the degree is widely recognized and helps improve employability. Students mainly secure jobs through off-campus applications, competitive exams, or by upgrading their skills. The flexible learning system allows learners to work, prepare for higher studies, or pursue professional certifications alongside their course. IGNOU also conducts periodic placement drives through its Campus Placement Cell.
The internship opportunities are mainly available for the commerce departments and many companies also come to offer internships here. For humanities departments to internships comes mainly from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and home ministry.
The placement cell is active. Companies like Agile Capital Services, Chegg, and Wipro visit. Eligibility requires 60%+ marks. Highest CTC offered is around 8 LPA and Average package is 4.5 LPA. Around 40-50% students get placed, while science graduates prefer higher studies (M.Sc / B.Ed). My plan is pursuing higher education and managing my student e-portfolio platform.
Placement at PGDAV college are average students who have good communication skills internships and extra certification usually gets better opportunities the placement cell is active and organise placement drives , workshops , resume building session and career building guidance student should not have any active backlog
PLACEMENT FOR BBA ARE AVERAGE WITH COMPANIES OFFERING ROLE IN SALES, MAREKTING, HR AND OPERATION. AVERAGE PACKAGE IS AROUND 3 TO 4 LAKH PER YEAR MANY STUDENTS ALSO PURSUE HIGHER STUDIES LIKE MBA TO IMPROVE THEIR CARRER OPPORTUNITIES.
The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.
I am as of in starting of 3rd year. The internship options are quiet really well. They give you many companies to apply in. .
I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
