- Infrastructure is not so good , though our clg is renovating rn but there's a lot that the clg has to focus on
Remarks :
I was given direct admission into Ruia College even though my percentage is poor, my combination is Physics and Maths. The teaching staff is pretty good here, though the infrastructure won't attract you as much. For me, I got admission based on only the board percentage. If you want to be admitted here just go to the principal's office and show the online application for the specific course you need which you have to apply on Mumbai University's website
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course coz I had an interest in physics and also I want to explore more in physics The faculty here for physics have done Ph.D. in physics and are extremely knowledgeable and reliable, The teaching methods are great and they solve our doubts immediately there and then. Our college being autonomous, exams are conducted earlier as compared to Mumbai uni exams, the difficulty ranges from medium to hard Fees for the general category is 8k per sem, pretty affordable, for obc, SC it's 2956 For the scholarship, you have to have a domicile certificate, caste validity for the SC category, and an income certificate. First, u have to register on the Maha DBT site fill in your details, and apply for a freeship scholarship ( for SC students whose annual income is more than 2.5 lakhs) There are different schemes available for obc students
Internships Opportunities :
Internships are offered here for physics, though I wasn't selected but my friends were, IISER provided an internship recently providing a certificate at the end of it. You could also apply for internships externally.
Placement Experience :
I don't know if the College offers placement opportunities, I haven't researched about that as I wanted to do an MBA but our Physics HOD told us that students who had passed out from Ruia College with a BSc in physics, are now working in BARC, CERN at various reputable companies and positions I plan to gain this degree and opt for an MBA as I have an interest in business and want to explore new opportunities
Campus Life :
Just after taking admission to Ruia, you'll get to see monsoon sports where students within Ruia compete in various sports In October CLG organises a prom night where you have to give a proposal to your crush ( if u have guts) haha Then around November - December, Ruia has its Annual fest - Aarohan which it's a 4-6 day fest ranging from e-sports to literature, dance battles, war of DJs, etc. This is the time when you will get to enjoy with your friends to the fullest In January we have departmental fests, and in we have Tie and Saree Day, the traditional day Ruia has a badminton court, boxing ring, shooting range, taekwondo mat, and fully-fledged gymnasium Clubs include the Ruia students club which is divided into team infra, marketing and PR, crisis management, publicity, etc. Ruia also has a Rotaract club, of which I'm a part of Ruia NCC Unit falls under 3Mah BN, proud to say I'm a part of the Ruia NCC unit There is NSS, Ruia Science Association (RSA), Ruia Green Club(RGC)

Placement Offers were Good on Records till now Collage has its own Placement Department. The Placement Department is operated by professionals. It aims at providing placement to students in reputed companies with handsome packages around 80% placement was done in our batch. All the students got chance to prove themselves in campus placements. Companies like Amazon, TCS, IBM, Make my trip, Amazon, flipkart, Infosys, HDFC, ICICI etc. visit the campus offers an average package ranges 3 - 4.5 LPA going on to Highest was 28 - 45 LPA Companies conduct interview sessions, GD, test for selection of students.

Placement was Good as there is a placement cell in the college that looks on managing placement for students by inviting Companies from different sectors Companies like Amazon Deloitte, Accenture, Reliance, HCL, Hyundai, HDFC bank, YES Bank, Axis bank etc. These companies make a number of offers to students offers an average package ranges 3 LPA and highest was 28 - 32 LPA. Companies conduct interview sessions, practical test, GD for selection of students and students needs to qualify all rounds to get selected also Internship opportunities was provided by college to give students practical experience and to give knowledge. Internship was also provided by college to give students practical experience and knowledge about current changing environment.

i chose computer engineering because i was interested in the technical field and wanted to build my career in engineering. the faculty were qualified and helpful, and their teaching was a mix of thoery ,ppts and practical. term exams were conducted on time and the difficulty was moderate

Placement Experience :
Placement opportunities are not so widely discussed by our faculty. My plan after the program is to appear for ugc net exam and to become an assistant professor. The minimum salary for assistance professor post is approx 35000.

The placements & job opportunities in the campus placements is good in our college like honestly it is good and also it is reason for students to take admission because there are many company coming to college. The average package is around i will say is 4.5lpa of all branches and here ENTC and MECHANICAL branch have more than 96% placement rate The highest package is of 22lpa which was from CS. The ground reality the percentage of students placed from this college is around 70% like the core branches students have higher placement rates and technincal branches placement rate is of around 70%-80% the core branches students also gets placed in tech. The main recruiters are TCS,ESDS,WIPRO,TECH MAHINDRA,INFOSYS,L&T and more. NVIDIA was also there but last year they banned the college because some students cheated in online interview.
An industry focused learning experience
Placement Experience :
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track

The number of companies coming for campus placements go down with each passing year. The companies that do come (TresVista mostly) are quite poor in terms of work ethic and payout methods. This year, around 40-45 students from the graduating batch got campus placement out of the 110-120 that applied.

Psychology as a field is highly recognized and growing sector after the lockdown,people are more focused on mental health,thus bhavans was the best option as they have Psychology department set for almost 20years which makes them more experienced. The teaching method of Dr.kranti Gawali the hod is excellent.

Placement are very good there are multiple job opportunities provided in a college multiple companies also visit for the placement in second third year students also internship provided and multiple students get PPO from that internship so but in 2024 the internship and placement both ratio is little low or the highest placement gone till now is only 35 lakh per annum
