Likes
- The infrastructure of the college is great the lecture halls, auditorium, students activity centre(SAC), Student's park, ground, hostels all are at their peak
- The great alumini network as well as the peer group which creates a sense of competititiveness and awareness is of a great value which overall enhances the quality and thinking of the individual in general.
Dislikes
- There are lesser research opportunities in the college as compared to other institutions which might be improved as some students might be interested in the core subject rather then superficial knowledge for the sake of passing the semester examinations.
- The college lacks somewhere in the physical fitness care of the students and should focus more on promoting sports, exercising, yoga and all the other stuff which keeps on energetic and motivated in between the busy schedule.
Remarks :
Due to location factors as it was near my home and also looking at the placement statistics and overall faculty response, qualified facultt, better peer group, infrastructure, sports facilities, lush green and big campus along with other facilites such as restraunts etc. made me select NIT Hamirpur as my college. Also there is great alumni network which helps in future reference and guidance for the sake of placements. The requirements are also fullfiled as you have many accessible things as better proffesors great research opportunities various clubs and seniors which guide you not only in academics but also other aspects of life. Overall I analyzed deeply before choosing the college for overall growth and best possible college life full of joy and excitement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum is up to date according to New education policy and academics are well managed as there are mid semester examinations which are held in the middle of the year for the evaluation of the subject and for overall learning analysis of mistakes and scope of improvement. At the end of the semester end terms are conducted for the overall evaluation of the student with respect to the subject. All the faculties are well qualified and cooperative they provide full guidance and knowledge to the students as far as possible. The college has various scholarships involving kalpana chawla yojna and many banks offer education loans for the smooth studies of the students.
Internships Opportunities :
The college provides various internships opportunities in the third year of the college as at that point of time the students are skilled enough to showcase their skill which can provide overall growth and value to the company and therefore earn improving their financial status as well. The major companies visiting the campus are google, Amazon, Deloitte, HCL and many other big campanies. I have not opted got any internships yet but will opt for one once I get a strong hold over some skillset.
Placement Experience :
The college provide good placements and internship opportunities for the students as some of them get jobs abroad with a package of 1.51 crore. The companies also visit for on campus placements and provide jobs as well as internship opportunities to the students. The big companies are as Google, Amazon, Deloitte, HCL etc These company hire and admire the students of the Institution.
Campus Life :
The campus is of 320 acres size it is big enough which includes many grocery shops and student's park where you can find stuff to eat. College has various dining points including 4H food court food plaza canteens and all. The hostels are also well managed clean and food quality is also up to the mark you get milk everyday along with this they care about the protiens and full diet. They also ensure the proper food quality for the good health of the students. There are many clubs in the college which involve Pixonoids (photography club), PR(Public relations club for management and stage handling). Fashion prade, NSS, NCC and various other clubs for the enhancement and overall growth of the individual. The college also conducts various hackathons and tournaments which creates a sense of competitiveness among the students which is therfore required for the overall growth of the students.

Placements are decent. Eligibility is typically at CGPA 6.0 or higher. Recruiters include TCS, Infosys ,Oracle, Wellsfargo etc.Highest package this year reached around 3 crores per annum as it was a foreign offer.

placement are good many cse students have package in crores i think cse nad ece branch is good but other branch package is around 10 lakh if i would suggest students i suggest go for cse or ece branch because in the era of artificial intelligence nad machine learning these two branches are booming and the package are also best in these branches you can also try for gate exam after the civil mechanical or electrical you can get jib in public plus private jobs
