Likes
- Campus has a lot of greenery. Infrastructure is good and maintained. There is cleanliness in the campus.
- Parking areas are provided. There is no ragging in the college.
Dislikes
- There is no transportation facility available.
- There is only one canteen in the college so students have to go outside in between the classes to have something.
Remarks :
Government College in Dehradun, less fees as compared to other colleges, planned to stay in Dehradun so chose Doon University. They have a written exam which is informed on their website. Walk-in admissions are difficult as there are fewer seats here. Clearing the exam is not very difficult and an average student can easily pass it. No gf/pi is required. Direct admission dates are given.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Economics has a wide scope and hence I chose Eco. Hns. The faculty here is mixed, some are really good professors, and some are not. The exams are scheduled timely here and the teaching method is good. Classes are often cancelled and there is no transportation which is a major issue here. The cost to study is budget-friendly as compared to the other colleges in Dehradun. Scholarships are provided to students on have an Uttarakhand domicile.
Internships Opportunities :
No internships have been opted as of now as I am in my first year. There are internships offered for experience and very less include a stipend. I don't know about the projects and the tasks much. Only after our 3rd year will be able to elaborate on this.
Placement Experience :
Placements are available only in specific branches like the language department. Recruiters include Amazon. No placement assistance is provided in other degrees. There are no such eligibility criteria for placement and the average package is around 2-3 lakh whereas the highest package offered is 14 lakhs.
Campus Life :
There are no real fests here. No artists are invited and we had a Dandiya Night as of now only. The library has a lot of books and their e-library is helpful. Sports is open for all and matches are conducted for all the sports. We have 4 clubs here, open for students to join. The hostel food is not relished by the students and the washrooms are not very clean. Affordability is not an issue here.

Placement Experience :
Companies do come here for placements and many students get placed as well but there's always the student factor as not everyone deserves to be placed either. My seniors are getting placed at 8.7 to 40 lpa specially the mba courses are getting placed higher.

the placement support at DBS has been one of the best strongest aspects of my experience. the university regularly organized internship and live project, mock interview, aptitude training and industry interaction to prepare students for placements.
Underrated university for pursuing Management courses
Placement Experience :
To sit for placements, the students have to be in 3 semester. Few famous companies that came in for placements are HCL, Tech Mahindra, ICICI, ANZ, Infosys, Wipro, etc. The highest package this year went up to 40 LPA and average package was 8.7 LPA. Around 95% of students got placed this year. For me I want to work in corporate for a few years then I want to pursue my PHD side by side.

College have decent placement percentage which is ofcourse higher than other local colleges near by.Our college have avg package around 6LPA and every year big companies like TCS visit our college for recruitment offering good packages.

I am preparing for other services currently but yes the college do provide good opportunities for future, even the college has good record in placement for AME, BHM, BCA, PHARMACY courses. Majority of students apply for further studies in our course.

Agriculture department is all about Internships and we have good collaborations with various institutions and training labs for polishing the hands on practical. The college provide good opportunities of works. The departments like AME, BCA, IT, BHM has good placement record.

I would say the college really provides wide opportunities to the specialization courses, as I preferred to go for further studies, but my batchmates got placed in good environmental industries because of the Degree.

Placements are very good. Placement criteria is based on cgpa and student behaviour. Good cgpa and no back allowed you to sit in placement. Highest package is 1.24 cr and average package is 4lpa. About 60% students get placed per year from campus. Tech Mahindra, TCS, wipro, Deloitte HCL etc companies visited fir placement.

I choose this course mainly because I wanted to pursue marketing for quite some time as I am extremely extroverted person. The faculty here are pretty well qualified atleast the ones who have taught me they really take interest in making everyone interact and share opinions
