Remarks :
This is a Tier-1 GFTI under Panjab University,Punjab Government.It has a decent academic and placement record.Admission is on JEE-Mains basis and JAC-Chandigarh Counselling. Specially the branches of CSE,IT,ECE have high cutoff of approx 95,94,93 percentile respectively for General category.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Course curriculum is at par with NITS and set by AICTE.Vice President is Chancellor of Panjab University.College recieves DST and other funds both from Centre and State.Talks are ongoing for introduction of Minor courses in the curriculum.Separate Entrance Test for Branch Change option after 1st year. Faculties are highly qualified and approachable.There are atleast 10-12 Full time professor in every department apart from Associate and Assistant professors. There is fee hike policy but scholarship is available for the needy.
Internships Opportunities :
Currently I am in 1st year so I have no internship oppurtunities but there are options available.Many students do internship in big companies and have cleared GSOC,SDE etc.There is coding culture in college.
Placement Experience :
There is decent campus placement in CSE,IT,ECE branches.90% students get placed.Big 4 and other Domestic and MNC is come.Avg Package is 10-12 LPA and highest 45 LPA.Other branches have average placentments.
Campus Life :
Clubs- Dancing,Acting,Singing,GDSC,Robotics,Debating etc. Fests-GUNJ,LEGACY,AAGAZ,CITRON,JHANKAR. Hackathons and workshops are organized. There is coding culture. Hostels are limited and on merit basis,only 30-40 students get hostel rest manage on PGs and Flats.Student politics is there,Council election happen every year.

College offers on campus placements opportunities in the 4th year of the course . Many reputed companies like Apple , Amazon , PhonePe , Maruti Suzuki etc visits campus for rhe placements. Highest and average package is around 60 lakhs and 17 lakhs respectively . 90 % students got placed this year

Placement and job opportunity is good because in civil engineering placement are good this college is better than many government college if no campus placement is offered than I prep for government exam connected to engineering like ies and many other best engineering government job

I don't have much idea about eligibility criteria because I have been in the clg 3 months. Company like Jp Morgan godrej britannia etc are the tip recruiters in our branch. This semester My H and Q company have given intern to many students. I am planning for government jobs. 40% of students are places in my branch.

Placemnts are better than other nits like hamirpur nit Jalandhar and nit kurukshetra also better than some private college like thapar its avg is like 13 lakh and median is 12 lakh for electrcal its same median avg is 14.5 and cse avg goes 20+ and ai avg 19 lakhs

placements are good and you can get the official data on college websity of my branch 94 placed out of 127 and avg package is 13.1 and median is 12 lpa but cse avg this year goes 20 + lpa but lower branch like civil has some low placemnt stats as many students go for foriegn ms or higher studies or gate psu from civil

The placement rate of chitkara is great from the starting of third year you can apply for placements . Various companies like Wipro,hero, Tata motors, Reliance, Lenovo visits for placements. The average package is around 8 lpa and heights is 45 lpa, from the college there are 100% placement rate.

There is minimum 4 months of internship we have to do in 6th semester and on campus opportunities is very good. Companies like Microsoft, Google, Atlassian, BMW, jp Morgan, AMEX came with highest package of 86 LPA

Course Curriculum Overview :
I was never interested in this course but due to family stress I was forced to do this and later on it was much intrested than any other subject. The beginning and end of universe is all what engineering teaches us and if somebody will find it not interesting then he should cut himself from this world.

The placement is quite very low for my department and my course. University is practicing for encouraging more companies for our course placement. It is improving but now the placement is low for my course . Like from last year only 5 were placed out of 60.
